As a leading non-profit organization, the YMCA of the East Valley opens access to opportunities, relationships, and resources for kids to be who they are and become who they want to be. We believe everyone, regardless of income, deserves access to our services.
Last year the Y awarded $ 413,817 in Financial Assistance to members.

AQUATICS
AQUATICS
With an Association Membership, you get access to the 3 Aquatic Centers across the East Valley! With 4 indoor pools, an outdoor pool, children’s splash zone, spa, and sauna, the Y’s Aquatic Centers offer a variety of options for our members!
The Y offers tons of exciting programs and classes to get you in the water and having fun. Take a look at our programs below and how you can make a splash this fall!
All aquatic centers are equipped with a pool lift to aid in water accessibility for all members.
Parent-Child Program
Parent-Child Stage A
Ages 6 – 12 months
Water discovery introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment.
Parent-Child Stage B
Ages 13 months – 36 months
Water exploration focuses on exploring body positions, blowing bubbles, and fundamental safety and aquatics skills.
Preschool Program

Ages 3 – 5

Please Note: All children 2 years and under and/or not potty trained must wear a non-disposable swim diaper while swimming in YMCA pools. Non-disposable swim diapers may be purchased at the front desk for $ 15.

Stroke development introduces breaststroke and butterfly and reinforces water safety through treading water and sidestroke.
Adaptive Parent & Child Swim
Ages 5 – 18
This Adaptive Aquatics swim class is a parentchild class for children ages 5-18 years with special needs. The goal of this class is to get your child comfortable in the water, teach them how to be safe around water, and become independent swimmers.
PERFORMANCE ARTS
PERFORMANCE ARTS
The YMCA Gymnastics program allows children to explore movement through tumbling, balance, and floor exercise. Children participate as a team to develop self-confidence, strength, and coordination. Your child will focus on skillbased techniques, including jumps, cartwheels, handstands, and more.
Children ages 3 -17 will learn and grow with supportive coaches and classmates. Let your creativity shine at the YMCA!
Baby Ballet
Ages 3 – 5
Dance participants will learn basic ballet positions with feet, port de bra (carriage of the arms) various jumps, and leaps while having fun. Class is structured like a studio program, and for that reason, parents are to observe outside of the classroom.
Ballet/Tap Combo
Ages 4 – 6
Dance participants will learn basic ballet positions with feet, port de bra (carriage of the arms) various jumps, and leaps while having fun. Dancers will also learn the basic rhythms of tap. Class is structured like a studio program, and for that reason, parents are to observe outside of the classroom.
Cheer 1
Ages 5 - 8
Sitting on the sideline at a youth basketball games? Sit no more, you can cheer for the youth basketball players. You will learn cheers, chants, and stunts.
Cheer 2
Ages 9+

Dance Acro I
Ages 5 – 7
This program studies the progressions of tumbling, contortion, and dance. This is not a class for beginners. Class is structured like a studio program, and for that reason, parents are to observe outside of the classroom.
Hip Hop
Ages 6+
Dance participants will learn beginning Hip Hop steps and moves. Class is structured like a studio program, and for that reason, parents are to observe outside of the classroom.
Music (Drum Corp)
Ages 3 – 5
The YMCA Drum Corps is a program that provides students with the opportunity to learn marching music and belong to a group of like-minded musicians. The YMCA Drum Corp program instill a strong sense of work ethic, dedication to small details, cooperation, responsibility, time management, respect, and teamwork. The benefits from participation include mental and physical exercise, socialization, and of course, the most important is musical development.
Gymnastics 1
Ages 4+
This class teaches skills that lead to and are taught in Level 1 of Gymnastics. Participants will work on their strength and flexibility, while also learning basic tumbling and balance skills.
Kinder Gymnastics
Ages 3 – 5
Kinder Gymnastics teaches basic tumbling and balance skills to preschoolers. This class introduces skills like focusing, listening, and patience while in a fun learning environment.
Jazz
Ages 6+
Jazz creates experimental, free form, and fluid movements combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with current forms of popular movements.
YOUTH SPORTS
Get in the game with YMCA Youth Sports!
The YMCA is here to help children grow into active, skillful athletes while also learning valuable life lessons like teamwork, patience, and dedication. We offer a variety of leagues, clinics, and programs for those looking to learn fundamentals to those focusing on developing skills.
YMCA of the East Valley offers a variety of youth sports programs for young athletes ages 3-17.
Basketball League
Ages 5 – 17 • 8/28 – 10/21
YMCA Youth Basketball is a fun and great way to introduce children to the sport of basketball and improve all player’s skills as well as athletic abilities. Our leagues emphasize sportsmanship through teambuilding and skill development. Teams practice one evening a week and games are held on Saturdays. Parents will be notified of the day and time your athlete is scheduled to practice.
Basketball Skill Development Clinic
Ages 6 – 18
Participants receive private basketball lessons with Coach Robert. Coach Robert will work with participants to identify strengths and weaknesses and development basketball skills to take their game to the next level.
Basketball Flash League
Ages 5 – 17 • 10/30 – 11/25
The Flash League is a 4 week program designed to focus on week to week skills, play with different teammates and learn from different coaches each week. Children will practice once a week based on their age. They will also be randomly selected to be on different teams on Saturdays. This program focuses on meeting new people, learning from different coaches and having fun! Teams practice one evening a week and games are held on Saturdays. Parents will be notified of the day and time your athlete is scheduled to practice.
Itty Bitty Basketball
Ages 3 – 4
Work on the basics in basketball, from eye and hand coordination to sense of direction. Kids will experience the team environment at an early age, all while having fun and giving positive feedback to build self esteem.
Itty Bitty Combo Sports
Ages 3 – 5
The Itty Bitty Sports program helps the youth to develop the basic skills and fundamentals of sports. Participants will learn the basic building blocks for success in a fun environment.
Itty Bitty Soccer
Ages 3 – 4
YMCA Itty Bitty Sport program helps the youth to develop the basic skills and fundamentals of the sport and the growth of your child in our 4 core values; caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Participants will learn the basic building blocks for success in a fun environment. Come join the fun!!
Martial Arts (Beginner/ Youth)
Ages 5 – 8
Martial Arts at the YMCA teaches your mind, body, and spirit to act as one; while introducing techniques that focus on balance and coordination through fun activities that promote positive attitudes, develop strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, discipline and self-confidence. Redlands class is held outdoors in the meadow.
Martial Arts (Youth & Adult)
Ages 9+
Learn self-defense in YMCA Martial Arts. This class is a fun and safe way for children and adults to develop control and discipline while learning combat skills. YMCA Martial Arts are non-competitive and encourage sportsmanship and personal growth. Redlands class is held outdoors in the meadow. Our family class allows parents and children to grow within the Arts together while creating lasting memories.
Street Hockey
Ages 6+
Learn the game of Hockey in a fun and fast paced setting. Take out your old tennis shoes and get ready for some good old street hockey. Stick and ball puck will be provided. Children will be taught the fundamentals of the game and how to use the hockey stick properly while engaging with team mates and in addition to leading a active life style.
Youth Soccer Clinic
Ages 5 – 9
YMCA Youth Soccer helps youth to develop the basic skills and fundamentals of the sport. (Skill Stations) Dribbling, Trapping, Passing, Kicking, Shooting. We encourage youth to grow as healthy, responsible contributors both on and off the field. Kids will love to be a part of a team and parents will enjoy watching their children grow through the Youth Soccer program!
Youth Run Club
Ages 9 – 14
Participants will meet and perform conditioning skills such as high knees, heel kicks, ladders, etc. Runners will meet on the track in the fitness center at the beginning of each class. Please send a water bottle with your child to stay hydrated during this activity.
Youth Soccer

We encourage youth to grow as healthy, responsible contributors both on and off the field. Kids will love being part of a team and parents will enjoy watching their children grow through the Youth Soccer program!
Youth Volleyball
Ages 9 – 17
Participants will develop volleyball skills while learning to play on a team. Improve your hand-eye coordination, work on speed, and practice techniques to help you excel in the sport!
CIRCUS
You don’t have to run away to join our circus. This is the place to be for children, ages 3 and up, to learn basic skills such as tumbling, unicycling, diabolo, aerial, and so much more. A tradition of the Redlands Y since 1929, The Great Y Circus® practices from September – April for the annual Circus held at the YMCA every May.
Participants ages 3 and up will learn and grow with supportive coaches and classmates. Let your creativity shine at the YMCA!
Circus Community
Ages 3+
Community Outreach Events and Road Shows allow The Great Y Circus® to inspire youth in our community through the circus arts.
During our roadshows, we demonstrate team building, trust, and a strong sense of selfconfidence. These shows benefit the community while also offering our performers a chance to showcase their circus skill outside of the YMCA.
Performing Season Circus Classes
Ages 3+ • 9/7 – 5/5
Founded in 1929, the Great Y Circus is a unique tradition in Redlands, California. Unlike other youth activities, Circus is noncompetitive and focuses on individual and group skills presented in an entertaining and artistic theatrical performance, with choreography, lighting, costumes and music.
The Circus program emphasizes teamwork, dedication, trust, family bonding, skill, showmanship, excitement and fun for both the participant and the observer. Circus teaches young people important values, such as responsibility, commitment, self-confidence and self-discipline, along with specialized skills.
Circus inspires the highest potential of personal achievement in each child, and their energy and enthusiasm to do their best is contagious!
Circus becomes a second family for children and adults alike; making it truly one of our most unique programs.

The Y nurtures the potential of every child and teen by supporting their unique youth development journey through comprehensive programming. From cradle to career, the Y provides all youth with the tools and resources they need to succeed in life.
Preschool University
Ages 18 months – 5 years
At our Preschool we focus on nurturing a child’s development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build selfreliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

After School Care
K – 5th grade
Count on the YMCA of the East Valley to make after school care easy and convenient by having child care right at your school! YMCA After School Care provides opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive as they make their way from K-5th grade.
We provide daily physical and educational activities like sports & recreation; homework support to assist students in meeting their teacher-assigned requirements; arts, science, math, and technology that allow students to engage in activities; all while socializing with friends at the same time.

Day Camp
Ages 5 – 12
During school breaks, and vacations the Y offers a fun, educational Day Camp program for all kids. Each day is full of adventure, from crafts to swimming and outdoor adventures, there’s always fun to be had at the Y’s Day Camp!
HEALTH & FITNESS
The Y provides programs and activities that promote wellness, reduce the risk for disease, and help others reclaim their health. The YMCA of the East Valley welcomes members of all skill levels to participate in group exercise, fitness challenges, and equipment orientations.
Your Association Membership grants access to three fitness centers with state-of-the-art exercise machines, free weights, and stretching areas. Get your heart pumping with our cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and rowing machines. Build muscle and endurance with our strength training and circuit equipment centers.
Body Pump
Ages 15+
The Les Mills® class you’ve been waiting for. The original barbell class that challenges all of your major muscle groups. This program will focus on strength and conditioning to sustain a healthy lifestyle while engaging and building relationships inside the Y.
Body Combat
Ages 15+
Unleash your inner warrior with this mixed martial arts inspired cardio workout. Strike, punch and kick your way to superior cardio fitness. BODYCOMBAT Express is the same workout in a 45 MINUTE FORMAT.
GRIT Strength
Ages 15+
This workout uses barbell, weight plate, and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. Les Mills® GRIT Strength takes cuttingedge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches.
ICG Cycling
Ages 15+
Enjoy our indoor cycle classes on the awardwinning IC7 Indoor Cycle with an engaging digital experience. An extremely accurate WattRate Direct Power Meter, Coach by Color intensity guide, and a precise magnetic resistance make the IC7 a one of a kind indoor cycle experience.
Kettlebells
Ages 15+
Kettlebell training includes strength, balance, flexibility, muscular/cardiovascular endurance, and coordination. This class teaches ballistic movements performed with the cast iron Kettlebell weights. Participants should have a full range of motion.
Personal Training (Jump Start Program)
Ages 15+
Get one-on-one attention from a certified YMCA trainer who will design a specific regimen just for you that will compliment any workout style while giving you that push you may need to see results. This is provided as part of your membership.
Pilates Reformer
Ages 15+
Pilates Reformer utilizes the Allegro Reformer machines to create an exercise experience that will shape and tone your body while creating lean muscle mass. Work with an instructor to learn and perfect flexible movements that can be adjusted based on your performance level. This is a low-impact workout that will strengthen your core with grace and concentration.
POUND
Ages 15+
POUND® is the world’s first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. Channel your inner rockstar with this full-body cardio jam session!
TRX
Ages 15+
TRX or Total Body Resistance Exercise, is a workout method that uses your body weight and gravity as resistance to help you build up your strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability.
Zumba

Pilates Mat
Ages 15+
Pilates Mat will help you to develop your core strength while focusing on coordination, flexibility, and stability-based movements. This workout is low impact and is ideal for members of all ages and abilities. Participants will develop their posture and body alignment, enhance balance, and help relieve stress.
Zumba’s known for being one of the best ways to torch calories and have fun! With Latin music and fun moves, Zumba is the perfect way to burn calories, meet new friends, and get in shape! You’ll have so much fun it won’t even seem like exercise!
AOA PROGRAM
As a part of the Active Older Adults program, the YMCA offers a variety of exercise classes for men and women ages 50+. Seniors are encouraged to stay active with the YMCA through fitness classes that fit their individual health goals. Our AOA Fitness classes are available to help members that are looking for a specialized workout to improve overall wellbeing at a friendly pace. Members love YMCA Group Exercise classes for their adaptability, encouragement, and support for all skill levels –including members with physical limitations.
The YMCA of the East Valley offers classes for all fitness levels. If you are looking for a gentle workout that will keep you active, we recommend trying one of our SilverSneakers® classes, Zumba Gold, or Pilates Reformer.
SilverSneakers ® Classic
SilverSneakers® Classic utilizes hand weights, elastic tubing, and exercise balls to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers ® Yoga
Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform exercises.
Relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
Zumba Gold
Zumba Gold is a mixture of salsa cardio and hip-hop dance that will get you moving to the music! Zumba Gold has tailored the moves and traditional fast-paced Zumba to meet the needs of members looking to enjoy the workout at a beginner level. The modified moves and pace are easy and fun to learn. Meet new friends and enjoy your workout with Zumba Gold!
