YMCA Calgary is a large, well-known and respected organization, with a gem of a camp nestled at the base of the Canadian Rockies.

Located just an hour outside of Calgary in Bow Valley Wildlands Provincial Park (just minutes from Canmore and Banff in the Canadian Rockies), Camp Chief Hector YMCA provides a rich environment and community to help children and youth to learn and grow through nature, and for you to continue your love of the great outdoors. This fun outdoor camp is one of the largest YMCA camps in Canada.

Our programs include summer camps, overnight and day camps, year-long outdoor schools camp and weekend programs for adults and families including meeting and event spaces. Camp Chief Hector YMCA emphasizes community and values-based education, outdoor challenge, fun, individual growth, environmental stewardship, leadership development and service excellence. Camp Chief Hector YMCA provides work opportunities to suit all skills and interests from camp counselling and leading outtrips to working in food service.
