INSPIRATION
idea of sound installation
As a healthy person, I like to travel a lot to experience different place with different culture and life style. When I came to London I attracted by vivid British culture. You can take the Thames cruise through the heart of London, you can see London Eye, Big Ben, Tower bridge. Greenwich. Then you also can visit the top museum in the world, like the British museum, V&A, National History Museum. Tate modern etc. London is amazing. From this I am worried that if blind people want to sightseeing in London. It will very difficult. Cause all the sightseeing program is preparing for the healthy people. But for the blind people, they only can know a place by listen, touch, and smell. So I was wondering if I could make a tool for blind people sightseeing in London through sound. My inspiration comes from the Eiffel tower sightseeing stage. When you go there, you can look the whole view of Paris from every angle. Also if you look through one direction it will tell you from this direction, there is another famous skyscrapers. For example, from the northwest direction is London Shard.
COLLECT SOUND FROM LONDON
I collected sounds from Sound Cloud and British Sound website. Also I went to Big Ben/ Oxford Circus/ Embankment Tube station to collect sound by myself.

Real space is 3D. But the screen is 2D. Only watch original video can’t remenber which direction they choose. So I added some signs to make sure people can get the information .
