Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I wanted to take a moment thank the two Turkey Bowl competitors for taking time away from their family to play a special holiday game. The League is pleased to announce the formation of a new league, the XRF Minor Leagues! More information on that in this issue. It is excited to think that the XRFL has become so popular that it requires us to expand into new horizons. Wish us luck!

The Broncos have started out 6-0 on this fine season, their gamble on Matthew Stafford has paid dividends for them on offense. He has thrown for almost 2000 yards and 15 scores to 6 interceptions. Stafford has been able to spread the ball around very well to each of his weapons, they all have near the same exact numbers. Demaryius Thomas is a flat out touchdown machine this year with 28 receptions for 442 yards and 7 scores. Stafford is looking to Thomas in any important 3rd down and when he wants to go deep. Carlos Henderson is working underneath with the help of Emmanuel Sanders, Henderson and Sanders look darn near identical in stature and how they play on the field. Each of these men have the same numbers with only a few yards separating them. Chris Herndon IV is also a very big part of the offense, he has 24 receptions for 454 yards and only 2 scores but when Thomas is covered Stafford is looking for him to get the first downs. Denver ranks 5th in points per game at 35, 4th in yards

7

per game with 387 yards by which 307 of those per game come through Rank Category Stat the air, they rank 20th in rushing 1st Passing (M. Stafford) 1,931, 15 TD’s yards per game with 80. At times their running game looks like 2nd Completion Rating 79% complete garbage but at other times it looks like it will take these Broncos 6th Receiving (D. Thomas) 442 yds, 7 TD’s to a Super Bowl. 3rd Sacks (V. Miller) 9 Denver’s defense on the other hand looks like it would be the weak link, 1st Pass yards per game 306.7 their pass defense ranks 25th in the league and 1st Losses Regular Season 0 their yards per game is 323, which ranks 19th. Key to keeping Denver’s powerful offense off the field would be moving the ball by run or pass but make sure to keep them off balance. Their rush defense ranks in the top 10 with Von Miller leading the way with 9 sacks. Von is getting older so Denver will be looking for his replacement soon, if you can get up to Von you can control him. Shaquil Barrett has shown flashes at being Miller’s replacement but injuries and suspension have kept him from reaching his potential. Injuries have plagued Denver’s defense this year which could be why the sack numbers are down. Some people wonder who would knock off these Broncos, I will look deeper into the contenders and give you some intel on which team could beat them. The Jags look to be a contender currently they are 5-1 and looking every part of giant in the AFC. Fournette and Allan Robinson lead the Jags balanced offense while Myles Jack and Telvin Smith and company lead Jacksonville stout defense. Ranking in the top ten in all major categories the Jags are a team to watch out for. Next the Oklahoma City Knight Hawks could be by the end of the season the team you are all going to talk about, lead by the ageless wonder Aaron Rodgers and the two headed monster at running back with Thomas Rawls and Steven Hodge. Don’t sleep on the

8

Knight Hawks defense which is lead by All pro’s Earl Thomas, Jadaveon Clowney, and Ha Ha Clinton Dix. They also rank in the top 10 in all major categories and each game they grow together makes them that much more tough to move the ball on. Injuries have NOT been an issue with these guys so if they can stay healthy WATCH OUT for the Hawks. These two are the cream of the crop behind the Broncos but a group muddled right behind these guys no clear cut team stands out.

In what many believed to be just another signing off the street, WR Kris Reeves burst onto the scene last week with a great game. The young receiver has been looked down upon due to a bevy of off-the-field issues in college and a larger than-life personality in the locker room. Neither of these played a part in Sunday’s win over the Mexico City Diablos as Reeves was ready for the challenge from the opening snap. During the second play of the contest, Reeves hooked up with new Jets quarterback

11

acquisition Ben Roethlisberger for an 75yard bomb for a TD. Not bad for Reeves’ first touchdown catch of his career. The QB-wideout tandem continued the parade with two more scores later in the game to help seal the victory. Reeves would finish the game with 109 receiving yards on four catches, and three touchdowns. When asked if he (Reeves) and Roethlisberger shared a connection, the response was priceless. "Me and Ben have a mental link — it’s almost like he's Professor X and I’m Wolverine! He's the mind and I am the muscle. Ben just knows how to talk to you to make you believe that anything is possible. Ben tells me everyday before practice that I am the best WR on the field and to never doubt myself or this team." Roethlisberger has decided to take the young talented Reeves under his wing. He told reports this weekend, "If Kris wants to reach his full potential and make both of us look good while doing it — that's fine with me. The kid shows up early to practice to do weight training and routes with me before any other players sets foot on the field and he is there practicing his timing routes long after the others are gone. That’s what no one saw in him — he's a workout warrior with the mind of a sponge — he absorbs everything I tell him." Only time will tell if the duo can right the ship that is the jets offense but one thing is for sure, I will be watching.

They say defense wins championships... but what about great defenses with Mathew Stafford piloting the offense? The Broncos fell short last year to a hungry Atlanta Falcons team, who fell short to a hungry Patriots team the year before. Starting to see a trend? The big stage was too much for these young Broncos. So what did

17

they do? They went all-in on free agent quarterback Mathew Stafford in the offseason, to the tune of 5 years, $30M. “That was one position where we felt we needed to improve right away, we don’t want to waste away these years having an elite defense” head coach Vance Joseph said. The Broncos also addressed issues on the line, in fact their 1st and 2nd round picks went to a RG and RT respectively. When MLB Tank Carter fell to the third round of the draft all eyes were on the Broncos knowing that was a big need. Speed at linebacker was missing last season as teams were gashing the Broncos on sweeps and counters all year. Rounding out the draft with a FS, DE, CB and you have a recipe for success. At least on paper... Those free agents and draft picks have bode well so far, as the Broncos sit at 6-0 and are ranked #1 in the XRFL. That $30M dollar Quarterback? He leads the league with 1705 yards and 13 touchdowns. Linebacker Von Miller is in midsession form, currently sitting at 2nd in the XRFL with 9 sacks. “Last year is last year” Von Miller said. “Setting the XRFL record for sacks in a season is great and all, but believe me I’d give all those back for a chance to hoist that Lombardi trophy 1 more time” Only time will tell if we will see some Mile High Magic come January, for now the Broncos are only focused on the next opponent: the Tennessee Titans

Ever since joining the league early in the 2018 season, the Night Hawks have been making steady progress up the power rankings. As it sits at the time we went to the press, the Night Hawks are now sitting pretty in the #4 spot. Offensively, the Night Hawks are on fire, currently ranking 2nd best offense in terms of total yards. Their rushing attack is 6th in the league with 888 yards on the ground. In the pass game they ranked 9th with 1469. Lastly, they rank 6th in scoring points per game (34.7) On defense they are similarly ranked Top 10 in almost every category, and in some cases Top 5. Overall, they ranked 5th best defense in yards allowed (1623).; 6th in pass yards allowed (1128); 3rd in points allowed (82); 6th in sacks (tied with 19); and they rank 1st in interceptions (16). This team is dangerous!

With a disappointing division loss in the fifth week against the Black Knights, Raiders faced another tough division game against the undefeated Broncos in week six. We basically saw the same Raiders these past two weeks. We know moving the ball on the ground is no problem considering we are on our 2nd and 3rd running-back, but the passing game is just non-existent, mediocre at best. Carr passed well for 288 yds but only 1td against the Broncos. We have seen Carr stay in the pocket and get rammed, then move to the outside to find no one to throw it too. Talk about rock and a hard place! As we all knew, Broncos carved up the Raiders D, on the ground and air. Did

21

you read that? The old work horse got it going Sunday pounding the rock with no problem. Could you believe Jamal Charles was cut by the way? Broncos stomped our boys 21-42. It’s clear there is no I in team. There is no better team to show us this than our boys. Mack is not a D-line, and Hammond cannot cover the entire field. What happen to J P-P? Cold much? Carr needs time, and his receivers have to get open. Jalen Richard is all smiles and cannot wait for that contract resigning! Let’s face it Raider Nation we have had our ups and downs during many seasons, more downs than ups lately, but we are looking like a black hole. Many fans know the dire state the professional football club is in. Some are now speculating that Las Vegas would have given a boost to ticket revenue and air play, at the very least, to a cash strapped team. What can we do? We are literally wading our way in a pile of dog crap! We have no first or second round picks, and a huge cap penalty going into next year. We just saw Peppers go away to make room for cap. Does anyone at Raider Nation see where we are going with this? With limited low value picks to replenish the ranks and a hindering ability to gather talent at it’s prime in the offseason, I expect it won't be long before the Raiders continue to cannibalize itself just to make it through the rest of the season and the next. Next week we face the Steelers in their home.

Looking for my silver and black paper bag! Go Raiders? @OriginalT49

The XRFL and the Commissioners are proud to announce that the XRF Family is expanding. This league has become very popular and has had a waiting list of users to get in for some time. Besides for our ground breaking league magazine, Holiday matchups and Supplemental Draft, the formation of a new type of league was our next logical stepping point. The inspiration for this new league came about as an attempt to improve the way we do business. Recruiting can always be a crap shoot – you might get a great leaguer or a loudmouthed cheeser. In the latter case, you always run the risk of someone rage quitting and roster dumping – both of which can cause havoc in an established league such as this one. The new XRF Minor Leagues will serve not only as a “waiting list” with benefits, it will give the league leadership a way to scout out and develop users into the kind of competitors we want in the XRFL. Ideally we would be looking to recruit users who are good at the game, but

23

not great – users who would seek to develop their skills in a friendly environment. This will all take place while introducing them to a true SIM league and specifically, how we function in the XRFL. If a team opens up in the XRFL, the leadership of the Minor Leagues will discuss candidates who are “ready” for promotion to the big leagues. The structure of this new leagues is a 32-man league. 18 of those teams have been relocated to other cities right off the bat, so when the users begin the first season they will already have new team identities. This gives the league an added feel of being the “minors”. Eight XRFL users have been invited into the new league as part of the leadership. Each one will be “in charge” of a division, assessing and helping to develop the three other users in that division. The Minor Leagues will also be incorporated into the magazine as a scouting and tool (and for pure entertainment). The new league will create opportunities for various members of the XRFL and be an interesting way to expand the league. We are very excited about this and can’t wait to bring you more.
