Patrick McCarthy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Boston Honors College in May of 2017. He is currently working in the theater department of UMass Boston while he is pursuing acting roles. Patrick recently played one of the lead characters, Tony Kirby, in the Milton Players’ production of You Can’t Take It With You. While at UMass Boston, Patrick was nominated for acting and playwriting, and he competed at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, where he went to the finalist round in April of 2017. Patrick currently resides in Marshfield. DJ Pagliuica graduated from the Isenberg School of Management with a BBA and concentration in finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He finished third in the All-New England Conference Championship in the triple jump. DJ is a senior associate for the finance rotation development program at State Street Bank. Aidan Ricard graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in May of 2017 and married Becky Hyatt in June of the same year. They reside in Coronado, California. Scott Rotondi is employed at Morgan Stanley. Pat Spinard graduated from the Boston College Carroll School of Management in the spring of 2017 with degrees in accounting and marketing. He began working with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC this past October. Pat currently resides in Medfield. John Young graduated from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in April with a Master of Architecture degree. Nick Zais graduated from Quinnipiac University in May of 2017. He has been a licensed real estate agent since 2016. Nick was hired last July as a business development representative at PTC in Needham, where he was promoted to account executive in December of 2017. PTC, Inc. will be relocating to Boston’s Seaport District in early 2019.

CLASS AGENTS: Jake Diehl, Pat Horne, Joe Imbriani, Amir McDonald, Joey Motchok, Patrick Nicholson Robbie Anderson has been doing organic chemistry research for the past two years, and in March, he and his lab partners traveled to New Orleans to attend the National American Chemical Society Conference to present their synthesis of the molecule pilosinine. They hope to have a journal publication within a year. Robbie was also accepted to Syracuse University’s chemistry graduate program and will be working toward a Ph.D. in organic chemistry throughout the next few years. Adam Kozdrowicz is graduating this spring from Boston College and is excited to begin working as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the fall. When he is not busy with school, he is hard at work preparing to release his first app, FacePort, onto the Apple app store.

Justin Doo received the Corey C. Griffin Humanitarian Award at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Champions for Children’s event on November 28. The award recognizes a young philanthropist who embodies a passion for giving back and service to others. Justin’s decade-long mission to drive awareness and funds to the cause of moyamoya disease was the catalyst for his prestigious award.
Joey Crognale just completed his Worcester Polytechnic Institute interactive qualifying project in Venice, Italy. Reporting to the Venetian Tourism Department, Joe and his teammates worked to improve the current navigational methods of the historic city. Joe is pursuing a B.S. degree in chemical engineering with minors in biology and Spanish. He is a rower in the crew’s second varsity eight. Jarad Maher is currently attending Boston College. He is also a realtor/agent at Maher Realty Group in Westwood. Matt Rombalski is a district manager intern for ALDI USA. Timmy Sweeney competed in the Division 3 NCAA Frozen Four as a freshman right wing on the Salve Regina University men’s hockey team.

He is studying social work and psychology. Zach Zollo recently graduated from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) with an associate degree in
Tim Simoes is playing baseball at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He has had an opportunity to play in more than 40 games for the Cadets during his freshman year, including the chance to play at Fenway Park and Camden Yards.
News of Note Former Principal Dom Lalli and his wife, Lydia, became grandparents once again to a new grandson, Luca Daniel Sica, born on March 18. Former Xaverian Dean of Students, Jim Spillman, will leave his position as principal of Blessed Sacrament School in Walpole after eight years and return home to Buffalo as principal of his alma mater, St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, effective July 1. As such, his wife, Katie Spillman, is stepping down as Xaverian’s Director of Staff Formation. We wish the Spillman family all the best!
