Additionally, from 2010-2021,heserved as Director of Eaton Vance. As successful as Rick’s professional careerwas, his servicetonon-profitorganizations has been equally impressive.

That1999 meetinginthecorner officeat Fidelity led toRick serving for 25years on Xaverian’s Board of Trustees, including12years as Chair of theBoard (2005-2017). With twocapital campaigns occurring during his tenure, Rick’s leadershiphas had a profoundimpacton Xaverian’s facilities and program. These developments weremadepossiblein largepartduetohis significant investmentof time, talent, and treasure. Additionally, Rick has long been a champion of tuition assistanceand scholarships toensurethatXaverian education remains affordablefor all qualified young men.

“I don’tknowanybody whohas made a greater contribution tothe school asaboard member or an alumthan Rick,” said Jack Egan’75, former trustee (1995-2012).“Each timetheschool tooka stepup, hewas theshoulders on which westood. And Rick never soughtcredit. Henever held himselfoutas being special or deserving of any recognition. His quiet, powerfulleadershipwasinspirational.”

“Nothing thatIsay abouthim really could capturetheconsequence and theweightof his leadership. Itis beyond measure,” said Brother Dan. “Rick is theperfectexampleofa graduatewholives theXaverianvalues. Rick held numerous roles at Fidelity in Money Management and Research, overseeing Analysts and Fund Managers, and then in London where he turned around the entire international operations. In every one of those roles, he was a SUPERSTAR!

Rick has brought his leadership and talent to serve as an invaluable board member and advisor to several nonprofit organizations.

Beyond all of his incredible achievements Rick is a wonderful Roman Catholic with a small “c” he respects and loves everyone and is deeply spiritual. He is a great human being.

On an index from 1-10 of modesty and humility Rick would be Google2.

Congratulations to Rick, Joanne, Caitlin, Caroline, Charlotte, Cameron, Lucy, George, and Madeline.
