Time at RAWR: 3months

Background: IamaproudFilipino;completedmyundergraduatestudiesfromthe UniversityofSanCarloswithaBSMajorinPsychology;alsocompletedsome certificatestudiessincecomingtoAustralia.I’vehadabout4years’experiencein childcareandover10yearsofcombinedPayrollandadministrativeroles.Thisismy firsttimeworkingintheNDISindustry,andI’mexcitedtoseewherethisjourney takesme!

Personal Qualities: I’dliketosaythatI’maveryresilientperson,withaverypositive mindsetandextremelyhardworking.Ontopofthis,I’dalsoliketosaythatI’m empathetic,respectful,understandingandhasastrongsenseofservicealwayswillingto helpoutsomeoneiftheyneedme.

What do I love about my role: Ienjoyeveryaspectofmyroledoingpayrolland billing.However,Ihavealwaysloveddoingthepayrollandampassionateaboutit.I amextremelyhappythatIhaverecentlybeengiventheopportunitytofullyassumethe role.Beyondthecalculationswhichtherolerequiresmost,itistheopportunitytolook afterthebusiness’smostimportantandvaluedasset–itspeople,byensuringthatstaffis paidcorrectlyandinatimelymannerandthattheyhavesomeonewholistensandis willingtoassistthemwhenevertheyhavequeriesthatIlovemost.Thesenseofservice andfulfillmentthatcomeswiththeroleiswhatmakestherolerewarding!

Future Plans for my role: IhopetocontinuewhatIhavebeentrustedtodoand growfurtherintherolehelpingtostreamlineamoreefficientsysteminthefinance section.

AsmentionedbyDave,werecentlymovedofficesinToowoomba;so,it Kwasgoodbyeto114NorthStreetandhelloto9/382RuthvenStreetaringalArcade!It’sbeenaverytryingexperienceaswehadalsomoved mintoatemporary,sharedofficespacepriortothis,butwecouldn’tbe eoregratefulforallouremployeesandparticipantsthathelpedwiththe ntiremovingprocess.Fromboxesofstationerytobigdesks,we’reso appreciativeofeveryone’stimeandeffort.Itwasbittersweettosay farewelltothehomeofRAWRSupportServicesinToowoombaofnearly 3years,however,withlovelybreakoutareasforcoffeeandchats,weare soluckytowelcomeKaringalArcadeasournewToowoombahome!

Darryl could not stop smiling and talking when Dave took him for a drive in his Mustang! Darryl loves loud and fast cars, so when he saw Dave’s beauty of a car parked out back, he was in awe!

Dave offered to give Darryl a spin in it, and you can imagine he was excited and happy beyond words. Thank you, Dave, for this small, but very impactful gesture, it definitely made his day - look at that grin sitting in the passenger seat!

BBQ in the Park!

To mark the end of the cooking program, we celebrated with none other than a... barbecue! It was a fantastic way to end the week and close up the activity for a few weeks before getting back into it!

Each week on a Thursday at 12pm, we ask 2 participants to draw out a name and a prize and announce it for all to see. This little gesture is just a small token of gratitude, for the immense and constant effort everyone puts in that contributes to making RAWR Support Services an amazing company.
