Our mission- Connecting Individuals with Opportunities
Hello and welcome to the May edition of our newsletter.
The weather has become a little cooler, and we are now in the last month of autumn. We have all enjoyed the short working weeks over the last couple of months, the short weeks make it difficult to keep track of the days May brings us Mother’s Day, our participants are busy making beautiful mother’s day cards and gifts at our weekly craft group for the special person in their life, I hope all our wonderful mothers have a great day and get very spoiled by their families.
April is a month of celebrations and a holy month of Ramadan - Eid Mubarak! To our friends and family, Saturday 22/4/2023 was the last day of Ramadan. The crescent moon was observed, and the celebration began, sending the best wishes for Eid to you, may Allah grant all your prayers.
Our Yezidis family, celebrated Charshama Sari Sali holiday which takes place on the third Wednesday in April, our families shared their traditions with us, eggs are bolied and colored to represent the next stage of world creation: vegetation growing When Yezidis play the game of haggan and the egg breaks, they are recreating the story of creation where the pearl burst and the material world (sun, earth, stars) came to existence. We are so fortunate here at RAWR Support Services to have such a multicultural team which allows us to experience cultures from all over the world.

Take Care.
My role at RAWR Support Services is Workflow Manager. My role is to provide support and assistance to our team of support workers this involves dealing with any day-to-day issues they might have.
In my role I deal with a lot of different issues everyday. I very much like talking to people and helping where I can make their job easier or answer any questions they might have. We have a great team of support workers with a huge range of skills, our support workers come from many different backgrounds which makes RAWR unique in being able to support any participant that would like supports.
The best part of my role is seeing the many participants we have enjoying the great group activities that we run here at RAWR. This is made possible by the wonderful support workers as they support and empower all our participants to be the best, they can be each day.
I really enjoy working at RAWR Support Services as I get to meet new people all the time and help support them to meet their goals and I feel with the great team of support workers RAWR has we are able to do this very well.
