Background: Priortothisrole,IworkedwiththeUNHCR,whereIhadtheprivilege of supporting people in need and contributing to initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities. This experience has shaped my perspective andapproachtohumanitarianwork,asIhaveseenfirsthandthechallengesthat vulnerable individuals face and the importance of providing them with the right support.

PersonalQualities:One of the personal qualities I bring to my role is empathy. I genuinely care about the well-being of others, and this drives me to always go the extra mile in ensuring that participants receive the best possible care. I am alsohighlyorganized,whichhelpsmecoordinatevariousservicesandensurethe smooth execution of care plans. My ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with both participants and service providers is something I value inmywork.

WhatDoILoveAboutMyRole:Iamdeeplypassionateabouthelpingothers,and IbelieveRAWRsharesthiscommitment.Mypreviousexperienceshavegivenme valuableknowledgeandinsightsintothefieldofhumanitarianwork,whichInow apply as a Support Coordinator. In this role, I coordinate the implementation of participant plans and connect individuals with the appropriate service providers to ensure they receive the necessary services and resources to enhance their quality of life. Knowing that my work makes a real difference in people's lives is whatIlovemostaboutthisrole.

Future Plans for My Role: In the future, I plan to continue acquiring knowledge and applying it in ways that will allow me to better support people with disabilities and those in need. I am focused on ensuring that each participant’s needs are met, and I will continue to work towards improving the services we provide, adapting them as necessary to make a positive impact on the lives of thoseweserve.

Our staff Christmas party was a great success! Huge thank you to Darling Downs Spit Roast Caterers for cooking and providing our delicious dinner, and Katie's Cocktail Cafe for the wonderfuldrinks.

This wouldn't have been possible without Dave and Judy (and anyone else that contributed) organisingandpreparingforthenight,sowealso giveourdeepestgratitudeforeverythingtheydid behindthescenes!

Ingredients

·5Eggs

·1cupwhiteself-raising flour,sifted

·375gzucchini,grated

·1largeonion,chopped

·200grindlessbacon, chopped

·1cupgratedcheddar cheese

·1/4cupvegetableoil

· Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

· Beat the eggs in a large bowl until combined.

· Add flour and beat until smooth.

· Add zucchini, onion, bacon, cheese and oil and stir to combine.

· Grease and line a 30 x 20cm lamington pan or similar.

· Pour into prepared pan and bake in oven for 30 minutes or until cooked through.
