RAWR Support Services prides itself as an entrepreneurial and out of the box thinkers, always open to better and improve ways to operate and serve our clients and participants. See you all next year, Onwards and upwards for 2023!
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day celebrated on 3 December each year to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability. By acknowledging this important day, we can take action to remove barriers for the 4.4 million Australians with disability and contribute to positive change in our workplace and in the community more broadly.
We at RAWR resonate with the goals of International Day of People with Disability. The aim of promoting empowerment, and helping to create real opportunities for people with disabilities. With the right support people with disabilities can do anything.
In advancing international social and environmental goals, International Volunteer Day recognises the efforts of volunteers locally and globally who contribute to worldwide development. Current estimates equate the global volunteer workforce to be 109 million full-time workers. 30 percent of this being taken formally through organizations, associations and groups.
Meet Katie Saunders, our lovely Support Worker from Warwick.
Having had a younger sister with various disabilities, the industry holds a special place in my heart. I’m passionate about helping people and I feel privileged to be able to do what I love. RAWR have been a great support to me and they are a great organisation to work for.
I have my Cert III in Individual Support Disability and I’m looking forward to completing the Cert IV in the new year.
