July 01, 2019 THE UNIVERSITY OF BURDWAN Application in prescribed form (available at University Sales Counter on payment of Rs. 250/-) are invited from the candidates for recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow under Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India sponsored multi-institutional Research Project (between The University of Burdwan and Visva-Bharati University) entitled “Prebiotic feed supplement for growth improvement of Indian major carps, Labeo rohita, Cirrhinus mrigala and Catla catla under composite culture system: A gut microbiome and nutrigenomics based approach" [BT/PR28574/AAQ/3/920/2018]. Required qualification: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Science with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) with NET (LS)/GATE qualification. Working experience in biochemical / molecular biological / microbiological works is desirable. Age:
Not more than 28 years
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/= + 8% HRA per month (JRF) in the 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35,000/= + 8% HRA per month (SRF) in the 3rd year. Tenure:
Three years or till the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
