Qualifications

Biotechnology, Medical Microbiology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry from a recognized university

OR Second class M.Sc. with PhD degree in relevant subject from a recognized university OR B.Tech Biotechnology from a reputed university with 6 years of research experience.

Desirable: (i) Doctorate or MSc Degree in Molecular Biology or Genetics from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree. (ii) Additional Post-doctoral research / training experience in Molecular Genetics subjects in recognized institute(s) in Diagnostic Pathology. (iii) Candidate should be well versed with molecular Page 1 of 6

techniques, handling of PCR, RT PCR, gene sequencing with at least 1year experience in a diagnostic laboratory. (iv) Knowledge of Bioinformatics, Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management. (v) Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification. (vi) Proficient to read, write and speak in English, Odiya and Hindi NOTE: (i) PhD degree in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years’ experience. (ii) Candidates with PhD or M.Sc. degree will be preferred for direct requirement. (vii) Candidates with correspondence course in any open university will not be entertained.

Rs 35000 (Consolidated) Essential: Graduate (B.Sc / B. Tech) in relevant subjects (Zoology, Biochemistry, Medical laboratory Technician, Applied Biology)from a recognized university with three years’ work experience Or Post graduate (Master’s) degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics or Medical Biochemistry with prior experience in handling human samples in Diagnostic work.

Desirable: (i) 2 years’ work experience in handling patient diagnostic samples, preferably from a reputed molecular diagnostic laboratory. (ii) Candidate should be well versed with molecular techniques, handling of PCR, RT PCR, gene sequencing with at least 1year experience in a diagnostic laboratory. Other Terms and Conditions These are tenure vacancies under funded project and are not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneswar pay roll. Employment will be automatically terminated upon completion of the project and there is no liability for permanent employment on AIIMS, Bhubaneswar or Principal Investigator. Also, the candidates have NO right to claim permanent employment based on this job.

No TA/DA will be given for the same.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC, ST and OBC candidates will be given against reserved posts only. Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates, Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental candidates (including projects), and Ex-servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time.
