ICAR-INDIAN VETERINARY RESEARCH INSTITUTE EASTERN REGIONAL STATION 37, BELGACHIA ROAD, KOLKATA – 700037 Date: 18.08.2021 WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR-IVRI), Eastern Regional Station (ERS), Kolkata invites applications, only for Indian Citizens, through online mode for engagement of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position to work under “DBT network programme on bovine tuberculosis control: Mycobacterial diseases in animals network (MyDAN) programme” at ICAR-IVRI, ERS, Kolkata. The positions are purely temporary in nature, on contract basis and may be terminated at any time in case of unsatisfactory performance. There will be no provision for absorption/re-employment in ICAR-IVRI/ DBT. The details given below:

1. JRF Educational Qualifications: Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Life Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/

Zoology)

OR

Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree

in Professional Course

(B.V.Sc.&A.H./M.V.Sc.) with National Eligibility Tests (NET) such as CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE or Equivalent examination (Selection process through national level examinations conducted by the Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc (Qualifications as per the DST Order No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01. 2019) Desirable: Experience in molecular and epidemiological techniques and handling of large animals and cultures of infectious diseases.

Age limit: Age limit and relaxation applicable as per Govt. Rule.

Emoluments: Rs.31,000 + 24% HRA

Emoluments: Rs.35,000 + 24% HRA

Interested candidates may to fill the details and submit his/ her application (as per format given at Annexure-I) by 06.09.2021 by 17.00 Hrs. The walk-in interview will be conducted on 07.09.2021 from 11:00 hour onwards at ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Eastern Regional Station, 37, Belgachia Road, Kolkata – 700037, West Bengal.

1. The place of posting will be at ICAR-IVRI, ERS, Kolkata, West Bengal but the JRF and SRF is likely to visit various places in India.

2. The original certificates and proof of age and caste to be produced at the time of interview/ joining.

3. The selected candidate may also be required to travel, as per requirement of the work.

4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

5. No interim enquiries will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the position.

6. The above engagements are purely temporary and will stand terminated automatically after completion of period indicated in the selection offer, or otherwise intimated subsequently subject to willingness of the candidate.

7. The candidate will not have any right for absorption in ICAR-IVRI/ICAR. 8. The selected candidate may have to join immediately.

9. The Director/ PI/ Competent Authority ICAR-IVRI reserve the right to cancel the recruitment process.

10. The decision of the Director/ PI/ Competent Authority ICAR-IVRI will be final and binding in all respects.

11. The details of short-listed candidates will be communicated for attending interview either personally at ICAR-IVRI, ERS, Kolkata or through a web platform. The link of video conferencing to attend the interview will be sent through e-mail in advance.
