WALK-IN-INTERVIEW A walk-in-interview is scheduled on 30th May, 2019 from 10:00 hrs. onwards at ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow for selection of Senior Research Fellow, Young Professional-II, Technical Assistant and Field Assistant under different project on contractual basis. Eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements may appear for the interview with duly filled in application form giving full details of academic records and experience(s). 35 years for male and 40 years for female (age relaxation will be applicable as per govt. rules)

Essential Qualification: 1. Degrees in the relevant subject: Ph.D. degree.

Or Master’s degree with the integrated degrees like B.Tech. & M.Tech.

(5 years).

Or Graduates with 3 years Bachelor’s degree, and professional Master’s degree (3 years) like M.Tech.

Or Master’s degree in Basic Sciences with 2 years research experience and should have NET qualified.

Subjects in Master’s/Ph.D.: Fishery Science/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences with specialization in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology.

1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Graduation and Master’s degree.

Desirable Qualification: Research work experience at a reputed lab in Molecular Biology/genomics/transcriptomics.

Senior Research Fellow

Essential Qualification: 1. Graduates with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and professional Master’s degree (3 years) like M.Tech.

Or Master’s degree in Basic Sciences with 2 years research experience and should have NET qualified.

Subject: Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences.

1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Master’s degree.

Desirable Qualification: Research work experience in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology techniques.

Desirable Qualification: Research working experience in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology techniques.

Essential Qualification: Master degree in the relevant subject with 4 years/5 year of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Science should have NET qualification.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in Molecular techniques and disease diagnostic and research publications.

Technical Assistant

Essential: Graduate degree in Life Science/Biotechnology/Fisheries Science.

Desirable: Experience in wet laboratory activity and computer applications.

Maximum 35 years as on the date of interview (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC etc. candidates as per rule)

Essential Qualification: Intermediate (10+2) with six month experience in wet laboratory activities.

Desirable: Six month experience in handling experimental fishes.

Terms & Conditions:1. Above positions are purely temporary and may be terminated by the Director, ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow without assigning any reasons at any stage. The same can be extended on half yearly basis on candidate’s every 06-monthly performance assessment and fund availability.

2. The tenure of YP’s will be governed by ICAR guidelines.

3. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear for interview who fulfill all the eligibility conditions.

4. All the eligible candidates appearing for interview should bring their coloured passport size photograph and all the original certificates along with self attested photocopies in support of their educational qualification/experience at the time of interview.

5. Place of work will be at ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow.

6. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in Interview.

7. All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of Interview for necessary formalities.

8. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.

9. The selection will be based on Academic Performance, Research Experience and performance in interview.

10. The decision of Director, ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow will be final and binding in all aspects.
