Qualifications

: Essential: Post graduate degree in Botany OR Post graduate degree in professional courses i.e. M..Sc(Ag) in Horticulture/Plant Breeding/Agronomy or other discipline, selected through a process described any one of the following. a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test – ICAR NET, CSIR – UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE b) Scholars who are selected through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies/ institutions such as DST , DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. With two years research experience

Emoluments

: Rs 35000/month Plus HRA @ 8 %

Age limit

: Upper age limit not to exceed 35 years for men and 40 years of for women as on the date of the interview. (Age relaxation as per Govt of India rules)

Duration:

3 years or co-termination of the project, whichever is earlier

Nature of work Work involves screening of turmeric genotypes for yield and quality, organic plant breeding, comparative multilocational evaluation of turmeric genotypes, germplasm exploration conservation, development of GAP and capacity building programmes.

General Terms and conditions 1. The above position is purely on temporary basis and is for the period upto 3 years.. The selected candidate will not have any right for claiming pay scale or absorption against any regular post being vacant on a later date at this Institute.

2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
