NOTIFICATION Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up 1 post of Senior Research Fellow (Life sciences) on contract basis for the CCRAS funded project entitled “Evaluating the Efficacy of Ayurvedic Intervention as Add on to Conventional Treatment and Explore the Interaction of Epigenetics, Neuro/Gut Biomarkers and Neuroimaging in Pediatric ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)” under Dr. John Vijay Sagar, Prof. and Head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Principal Investigator and Dr. Kishore Kumar R. Senior Research Fellow (Life sciences) One Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Genetics/Biochemistry with good academic record. Two years research experience after Master’s degree Candidates who have cleared the National Eligibility Tests/ National level examinations conducted by CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship, GATE, DBT, ICMR etc. Prior research experience in genetic, epigenetic and biochemical studies involving DNA methylation, quantitative gene expression, metagenomics, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, etc. Research experience supported by a publication of original research article in the relevant field. Not exceeding 35 years as on last date of application Rs.35000/- + 24% HRA Selected candidate will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements of the research project like sample collection, processing blood samples for downstream analyses of DNA methylation, gene expression and secretome, stool samples for metagenomic studies coordination with the concerned departments, analysis, periodic report writing and submission, and also should participate in all Institutional and Departmental activities. 3 years The initial appointment will be made for six months, extendable for next 2½ years subject to performance of the candidate
Conditions: 1. The engagement will be purely on contract basis and co-terminus with the project. Claim for continuance or regular appointment will NOT be entertained. 2.
