VACANCY NOTICE Applications on plain paper are invited from eligible candidates for (i) one position of Research Assistant on contractual basis on a consolidated fellowship/stipend of Rs.38,000/- per month initially for a period of one year for a project on “Synthesis of Starch Nanoparticles and its Application in Art Conservation” and (ii) two positions of Research Assistants on contractual basis on a consolidated fellowship/stipend of Rs.38,000/- per month initially for a period of one year for a project on “Museum Climate Control” under the Department of conservation.

PROJECT 1: “SYNTHESIS OF STARCH NANOPARTICLES AND ITS APPLICATION IN ART CONSERVATION” Essential Qualifications: (i) (ii)

MA/M.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Art Conservation from a recognized university with at least 55% marks or equivalent grades. B.Sc. degree in Sciences with Chemistry as one of the subjects.

Desirable: Experience of research in the area of application of science and technology in art conservation. PROJECT 2: “MUSEUM CLIMATE CONTROL” Essential Qualifications: (i) (ii)

Postgraduate degree in Art Conservation from National Museum Institute or any other recognised Institute/University. Good computer and data analysis skill.

Desirable: Good knowledge of Practical Conservation Work. 1
