Age limit: 30 years as on closing date of application.

Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman/other statutory groups.

The engagement is purely on temporary and contract basis under the sponsored projects undertaken by CSIRNEERI, which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the projects, satisfactory performance/conduct of the candidate and will be coterminous with the project duration. Maximum duration in one project or in different projects taken together in CSIR shall not be more than five years in any case. The Project Assistants will be working at NEERI, Chennai Zonal Centre, Chennai.

The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and should be in the area mentioned above. Mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview or test. The candidates should therefore mention all the details including qualification, experience, etc. in the relevant area, supporting documents, etc. and ensure that all details are complete and accurate. The cut-off-date of the maximum age limit will be the closing date of application. All eligible candidates as per advertisement are required to appear before the Recruitment Committee for a personal interview or test (or both) at CSIR-NEERI, Chennai Zonal Centre, Chennai. The engagement shall be an assignment and not an appointment (temporary or otherwise) in CSIR-NEERI. It would therefore, not confer any right or claim, implicit on the candidates for regularization against any post in CSIR-NEERI or under any scheme of CSIR. However, the candidates are encouraged to improve their qualifications during the tenure.
