Hyderabad University Biotech & Biochem Research Recruitment 2019

9th May 2019 Applications are invited on a plain paper (along with copies of educational qualifications and experience) from eligible candidates for selection for the following positions in the projects sanctioned to Prof.

Sharmistha Banerjee, Department of Biochemistry, University of Hyderabad.

Project: Centre of Excellence in Biomolecular structure and function on Host-Pathogen interaction (BT/PR15450/COE/34/46/2016) Technical Assistant @ Rs. 17,040/- (Consolidated) per month - 1 position Essential Qualification and Experience: M.Sc or M.tech in biochemistry or biotechnology with basic knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology, cell culture etc. Research experience of minimum 6 months in the form of project work / internships etc required.

Project: Design and Development of novel antitubercular agents targeting Shikimate kinase protein (BT/PR23619/MED/29/1199/2017) Research Technician @ Rs. 25,000/- (Consolidated) per month - 1 position Qualification and experience: M.Sc or M.tech in biochemistry or biotechnology with basic knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology, cell culture etc. Research experience of at least 5 years with experience of working in handling animals is essential.

Project: Assessment of Antimicrobial and Plant Growth Promoting Potential of Indigenous Endophytic Bacterial Strains of Manipur (BT/PR25395/NER/95/1177/2017) Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 25,000/- + 30% HRA per month - 1 position Qualification and experience: M.Sc in biotechnology or biochemistry with basic knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology, cell culture etc. Experience of working at least 2 years in a research lab with experience of working in a BSL-3 lab is essential. Qualification of any national level tests like CSIR/UGC-NET, ICMR/DBT-JRF, CSIR/DBT/ICMR-SRF etc is essential.
