IISER Kolkata Research Assistant Vacancy for MSc Life Sciences

Applications are invited for the post of a “Research Assistant” position in DBT funded project in the Dept. of Biological Sciences (DBS), IISER Kolkata, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, 741246.

This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned project (Fund is available up to March 31st 2021).

Job Title: Research Assistant No. of Posts: 01 Project Title: “Studying the mechanism of host adaptation by Campylobacter jejuni and developing strategies to control enteric commensalism in chickens” Principal Investigator: Dr. Amirul Islam Mallick, MVSc, PhD Qualification: Essential qualification: MSc degree in Biotechnology /Zoology/Molecular biology/ Microbiology or related field with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.

Desirable Qualifications: Work experience in Cell culture/ microbiology lab and prior training of using immunological tool such as ELISA, Western Blot, FACS analysis, Immunofluorescence microscopy, Real time PCR.
