WALK–IN INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR/ SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW A walk-in-interview will be conducted for filling up of temporary post of one Junior/ Senior Research Fellow to work in the DBT, Indo-UK partnering scheme on Chicken or egg: Drivers of anti-microbial resistance at Poultry Disease Diagnosis and Surveillance Laboratory, Veterinary College and Research Institute Campus, Namakkal-637002.

The post is purely temporary and engaged on need basis during the existence of the project or until the need ceases, therefore whichever is earlier with the condition that the above JRF/SRF should not claim any regular employment at a later date.

Qualification Junior Research Fellow: Post Graduate Degree in the following disciplines (Microbiology/ Biotechnology /or any molecular biology related disciplines) with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course viz. M.V.Sc in Veterinary Microbiology/ Animal Biotechnology / related animal health disciplines /M.Tech (Biotechnology or any molecular biology related disciplines)

Emoluments

JRF : Rs.25,000/- per month+ HRA (as per DBT norms) for the first two years Rs. 28000/- per month + HRA (as per DBT norms) for the third year after the successful assessment in performance review

SRF: Rs. 28000/- per month + Senior Research Fellow: HRA (as per DBT norms) Qualification prescribed for JRF with two years of research experience *Preference will be given to SRF. JRF will be considered only in the circumstances when no qualified candidate for SRF is available.

1. Qualified and interested candidates may appear for a written examination followed by an interview on 11.02.2019 at 10.00 am to be held at the Poultry Disease Diagnosis and Surveillance Laboratory, Veterinary College and Research Institute Campus, Namakkal637002.

2. No TA / DA will be paid for the candidates preferring to attend the interview. Candidates are to make their own arrangements for their stay at Namakkal.

3. Mere attending the interview does not guarantee them the appointment and the selection will be based purely on merit basis. Candidates are requested to produce all original certificates (UG / PG degrees, NET certificate, age proof, experience certificate, publications and any other testimonials that certify their competency to work in the project) at the time of interview.

4. Selection will be made as per the norms of ASRR, TANUVAS. 5. The appointment is made purely on temporary basis with a condition to terminate the appointment without giving any prior notice and the candidate should not claim any university service.

Job Description Junior/Senior Research Fellow An enthusiastic, organized and ambitious worker is required to join a three-year project carrying out to find the transmission of AMR genes through the broiler food chain, based at Poultry Disease Diagnosis and Surveillance Laboratory, Veterinary College and Research Institute Campus, Namakkal-637002. The person employed will be involved in sample/data collection from poultry farms, laboratory work in pathology, microbiology, serology, molecular diagnosis, PCR, gene sequencing and cell culture techniques. The person employed is expected to methodically archive the materials collected and maintain daily & regular records.
