Department of Genetics University of Calcutta Walk-in-interview for one Project Assistant A walk-in-interview will be held on 16th December, 2019 at 11 am in the Department of Genetics for selection of one project assistant in a project entitled ‘Molecular Genetics Studies of Cognitive Functions on Wilson’s Disease patients of India ’ sanctioned by the
DST-CSRI, GoI [Sanction no.- DST/CSRI/2017/272(G) dated 04.09.2019 ], under the supervision of Dr. Mainak Sengupta, Asst. Professor AND Head, Department of Genetics, University of Calcutta. Essential qualification required: M.Sc. / M. Tech in, Life Science, Zoology, Biotechnology, Neuroscience, Microbiology or allied subjects.
Desirable- Qualifying National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) and GATE or, National level examinations conducted by Central Govt Department and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT,DAE,DOS,DRDO,MHRD,ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. Having hands on working experience in Neurogenetic disorders will be preferred. Fellowship: Consolidated amount of INR 20,000 p.m. Tenure: Initially for the period of 1 year and subjected to extension contingent on the recommendation of relevant committee.
