Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the following position at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.

One Position of Project Associate-I (Bioinformatics) against the DBT-funded project entitled “Validation of DBT-NIAB SNP chip for breed identification and preliminary genome-wide association studies of milk yield”. PI: Dr. Sandeep Kushwaha, Scientist-E.
Duration: 7 months (extension is subject to availability of funds)
Eligibility: Master`s degree in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology or Bachelor`s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a university or equivalent.
Desired Experience: generation sequence data analysis, Genotyping data handling or GWAS analysis will be given preference.
Age: 30 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions).
Fellowship amount: (i) Candidates with NET or GATE or undergone a selection process through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions will be paid Rs. 31,000/-PM + 24% HRA as per the DST guidelines.
(ii) Candidates who do not fall under (i) above will be paid Rs. 25,000/- PM + 24% HRA as per the DST guidelines.
