Interview Notice for the contractual posts at NCDC /PMMSY sponsored Marine Ornamental Fish Hatchery, Kavaratti, Lakshadweep

Physical interview is scheduled for the recruitment of the following contractual posts at ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Outreach Station, Lakshadweep, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kavaratti under the NCDC Sponsored Technology Demonstration project in operationalisation of Ornamental Fishery in the form of Business Plan under the Central Sector component of the PMMSY-Establishment of marine ornamental fish hatchery at Lakshadweep. The eligible candidates are advised to send their application/biodata (only in the format enclosed) and scanned copies of the original supporting documents to ornamentalfishld@gmail.com on or before 31.12.2022. The interview shall be held at Kochi or Kavaratti, Lakshadweep. The place, date and time of the interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates by e-mail and only those who receive communication may appear for the interview on the specified date and time. This recruitment is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project (Project Period:2022-23 to 2024-25). The details of eligibility conditions and other information are given below:

Nature of work Overall management of the marine ornamental fish hatchery operations, production and marketing targets, data upkeep, reports etc. and training the beneficiary farmers/entrepreneurs. Day / night duty

Emoluments Rs.35,000/- per month (consolidated)

Essential Educational qualification

MFSc / MSc (Aquaculture/ Biological sciences/ Fisheries/ Marine Biology) And

BFSc/ BSc (Aquaculture/ Biological sciences/ Fisheries/ Marine Biology) with 2 years’ experience in marine ornamental fish hatchery may also be considered.

Desirable Experience (at least 1 year) in Marine Ornamental Fish hatchery operations (in private /Govt hatcheries/hatchery projects)

Age limit Candidates should be above 21 years and maximum of 45years as on date of interview. Age relaxation will be done as per rules.

Assist in all activities of marine ornamental fish hatchery like brood stock maintenance, hatching, algae and rotifer production, larval rearing, nursery rearing, marketing etc. Day / night duty

Age limit Candidates should be above 21 years and maximum of 45years as on date of interview. Age relaxation will be done as per rules.

1. Scanned copies of original certificates of Degree & Postgraduation must be submitted along with the application form to the e-mail id ornamentalfishld@gmail.com on or before 31st December 2022. The applicants cannot appear for the interview without these certificates. Original certificates will have to be produced for verification of same at the time of joining.

2. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.

3. The competent authority has the right to terminate without assigning any reason at any time.

4. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for the interview.

5. If any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR-CMFRI, the candidate intending to attend the interview must declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing as detailed in ANNEXURE-II, and communicated along with the application.

6. All the candidates are compulsorily required to submit the duly signed declaration as detailed in ANNEXURE-I and ANNEXURE-II on or before 31.12.2022

7. Candidates should produce the ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their present employer, if any.

8. Decision of Director, ICAR-CMFRI will be final and binding in all respects.

9. The selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointments at this institute/ICAR as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular and time bound.
