Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up one post of Junior Research Fellow on-contract basis for Medical Research Council-UK funded project entitled “Psychological, social & biological predictors of child mental health and development: shared and distinctive risk and protective factors in UK” under Dr.Prabha S Chandra, Professor of Psychiatry, NIMHANS, and Principal Investigator.

Essential Qualifications
i)M.Sc. in Life Sciences
(Genetics/Biochemistry/Zoology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Neurosciences or related subjects)/ M. Tech. in Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering with experience in methods/tools/techniques used in genetics research.
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with prior experience in collecting and processing blood and Saliva samples, nucleic acid extraction, ELISA, Multiplex Suspension Assay, Flow cytometry, DNA methylation analysis, as well as recording and analysis of clinical data will be preferred.

Duration of the post Initial appointment will be made for a period of 6 months, which may be extended for 6 months (or till the end of the project) depending upon the performance of the candidate.
