The following positions under the project titled "Quantification of Immune Cell Types and Identification of Cell Type Specific Biomarker Expression in Pulmonary and Extra- Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients: a pilot study " funded by Public Health England, UK in the Dept. of Microbiology, JIPMER to be filled purely on temporary basis. Panel of recommended candidates shall be shortlisted after interview and they will be engaged in the present and future vacancies of project as per requirement from time to time.

Qualification

Pay/ month Essential Qualification: PhD in 52000/Microbiology with one year post PhD experience in TB Research Desirable Qualification: Experience in Mycobacteriology Laboratory with good exposure to diagnostic methods for tuberculosis such as LJ & MGIT960 culture, Genexpert, IGRA, PBMC processing, flow cytometry and molecular techniques

Essential Qualification: B.Sc 18000/(Medical Lab Technology) with 60% aggregate marks Desirable Qualification: Experience in Mycobacteriology Laboratory with good exposure to LJ & MGIT960 culture, Genexpert, and molecular techniques Knowledge of computer applications

1. Eligible candidates may send their application in the prescribed format along with CV and copies of certificate(s) to the Principal Investigator on or before 10th June 2019 (4:30 pm).

2. A walk-in interview for the above mentioned posts will be held on 14th June 2019. The candidates must be present by 9 AM at Microbiology office, II floor, Institute Block, Dept. of Microbiology, JIPMER. 3. Candidates should bring with them (1) All certificates/testimonials in original (2) One attested copy

each of the certificates (3) one copy of brief curriculum vitae (4) one passport size recent colour photograph and (5) Filled application form in the prescribed format 4. A screening written test may be held depending upon the number of candidates.

5. No TA/DA etc. will be given to attend the walk-in-interview.

6. Tenure of Appointment-Nine months or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier 7. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Govt. of India rules 8. Decision of Principal Investigator shall be final.

9. If performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the investigator, appointment can be terminated at any time without any notice.
