Call for Training and Research Date: 19/08/2021 Training and Research Opportunities in area of clinical, basic and implementation research for students for the fulfilments of their degrees (non-medical / medical: graduate/postgraduate, Doctoral) and post doctoral work. ICMR-National JALMA Institute for Leprosy and Other Mycobacterial Diseases (ICMRNJIL&OMD, Agra) is one of the premier institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The main focus of the Institute is to conduct research in the areas of Leprosy, Tuberculosis and NonTuberculous Mycobacteria. In addition, the Institute is well aligned with the various activities of Government of India towards elimination of Leprosy and Tuberculosis. Institute is also involved in extending COVID19 diagnostic facility at state level. The Institute has state of the art laboratory facilities for carrying out research in the field mentioned above. Ambedkar University, Agra (MoU under process) for Ph.D. programme and dissertation work. Applications are invited for pursuing Post Doctoral Research (PDF), conducting research leading to doctoral degree (Ph.D.), Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and dissertation work for fulfilment of degrees of Masters and M.Phil. Part time training /summer training courses (3/6 months) are also available at this institute. Candidates with own fellowships (ICMR/CSIR/UGC/DBT-NET, DST-INSPIRE etc.) will be preferred. Selection will be based on academic record and interview performance. If required, written test will also be conducted. Application should include Bio-data, NET qualifying certificate/award letter, if any, copies of degrees, certificates, mark-sheets, School Leaving Certificate and caste certificate as applicable. BSc/MSc/MD candidates may apply along with recommendation letter from the College/University as applicable. A fee of rupees two thousand per month will be charged from the candidate opted for dissertation work. Limited hostel facility will be available on first cum first serve basis.
