DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY UNIVERSITY OF DELHI Appointment in Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India funded Project Applications are invited for posts of “Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant” to work in DBT funded project entitled “Electrochemical Ultrasensing Platform integrated with Biomarker coated on Graphene Detecting Neonatal Sepsis” under supervision of Prof. Ramesh Chandra. Appointment will be made as per DBT/DST guidelines for Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant posts, detail requirements are given below:
Eligibility: Senior Project Associate: i) Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; ii) Four years’ experience in research and development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. OR Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent Scientific Administrative Assistant* Graduate degree in any discipline.
Remuneration: Candidate will be paid as per DBT/DST guidelines for Senior Project Associate @42000/-+ 24% HRA and Scientific Administrative Assistant @18000/-+ 24% HRA.
Service Conditions DA: Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant will not be entitled to DA.
House Rent Allowance (HRA) Candidate may be provided hostel accommodation wherever available. Research fellowship holder residing in hostel shall not be entitled for HRA. Wherever provision of hostel accommodation is not possible, HRA may be allowed, as per Central Government norms applicable in the city/location where they are working. The percentage required for calculating HRA will be based on the fellowship amount.
Medical Benefits The Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant will be entitled for medical benefits as applicable in University of Delhi.
Leave and other entitlements Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant are entitled to leave as per rules of the host institutions. Participation of Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant in scientific event /workshops held in India or abroad will be treated as “on duty” with due approval of the host institution. The travel entitlement for Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant for participation in scientific event/workshops held in India will continue to be the same as earlier i.e. 2nd AC by rail. Maternity leaves as per the Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time would be available to female candidates in all categories.
Bonus & Leave Travel Concession Senior Project Associate and Scientific Administrative Assistant will not be entitled to these allowances.
Age Limit: The upper age limit for applying for award of Senior Project Associate shall be 40 years and Scientific Administrative Assistant shall be 50 years. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/OBC, Physically handicapped and women applicants.
Duration of Fellowship: Candidate will be appointed initially for one year and after evaluation may be continued till the tenure of the project. If work report is not satisfactory, fellowship may be terminated before time. *Will work at Amity University, Noida, UP
