Centre for Marine Living Resources and Ecology Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India Atal Bhavan, LNG Road, Puthuvype, Cochin-682508 Vacancy Advertisement Centre for Marine Living Resources and Ecology (CMLRE), a premier R&D institute and an attached office of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, is undertaking research activities in the areas of Marine Living Resources and Ecology including the ecosystem processes for the development of marine ecosystem management strategies towards sustainable utilization of resources. To strengthen its activities, CMLRE is inviting applications for the following temporary positions on project mode from dynamic, hardworking and motivated researchers to contribute to its research activities during 2021-26. Nature of Duties

: 1 : Ph.D in Marine Biology/ Marine Science/ Marine Biotechnology or equivalent from a recognized university with 20 years of research experience in the relevant field with proven track record. :  Proven experience in marine biodiversity and ecology, project management and implementation through scientific papers, books, reports, policy documents, etc.  Experience in museum curation, organizing training/ workshops/outreach programs.  Handling oceanographic and biological datasets including quality control and analysis with scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. :  Coordinate and implement the biodiversity studies, taxonomy and phylogenetic studies of marine eukaryotes.  Organize marine voucher specimen collections and maintain the referral centre as per the Natural History Museum protocols.  Policy matters with different International Instruments, Treaties, Page 1 of 11
