ARAVIND MEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION 1, Anna Nagar, Madurai – 625 020 ADVERTISEMENT Aravind Medical Research Foundation (AMRF), Madurai is a multidisciplinary research institute, recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India, which conducts basic research to gain insights about vision science and commitment to finding new ways to reduce the burden of blindness. AMRF is recognized for Ph.D. by Madurai Kamaraj University, Alagappa University and SASTRA University. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work at the Department of Immunology and Stem Cell Biology in a SERB funded project entitled, “Characterization of adult human lens epithelial stem cells in the maintenance of tissue homeostasis throughout life and their functional status in cataractous lens”.
Required Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Basic Science or Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in Professional Course selected through a process prescribed through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. (as per the SERB Notification No. SB/S9/Z-06/2019 dated 23.04.2019) Note: Those who had applied earlier are requested not to apply. Selected candidates will be paid fellowship INR. 31,000 + 16% HRA (35,960 p.m) for two years and will be promoted to SRF scale for third year as per the SERB norms.
