Walk-in-Test/Interview will be held at ICAR-NIASM, Baramati on 25/09/2018 at 11.00 A.M. for filling up of 01 post of Research Associates (RA), 2 posts of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under NICRA project and 1 post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under DBT – BBSRC project as per details given below: Under NICRA project entitled “Phenotyping of pulses for enhanced tolerance to drought, heat and salinity” Name of the No. of Desirable Qualification Emoluments (per Essential Qualification Post Vacancies month) Post graduate with more than Published research papers in Rs.40,000/- + 10% HRA 60% or equivalent OGPA and journals with >6 NAAS rating and for Doctoral Degree specialisation in Plant are relevant to abiotic stress Holders and Rs.38,000/Physiology / Genetics / Plant tolerance in crop plants + 10% HRA for Master breeding / Plant Biochemistry Degree Holders with minimum 2 years Knowledge of experimental experience in Plant techniques for plant stress Phenotyping research or Ph.D. physiology and proof of in Plant Physiology/ Genetics / knowledge about statistical Plant breeding/ Bioscience with analysis and documentation of Research specialisation in plant stress experimental data Associates 01 (One) physiology (RA) Knowledge of computer operated Only those with experience in greenhouse and its maintenance. research on drought/heat tolerance in plants as Experience and willingness to supported by published work in field and provide research and those with fortnightly report and experience in plant presentation phenotyping in controlled environment /experimental field should apply for this position Senior 01 (One) Experience in controlled Rs.25,000/- per month Research Post graduate in Agriculture environment facilities, screening + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd Fellow (SRF) Plant Physiology / Genetics and crop genotypes, & knowledge of year while Rs.28,000/Plant breeding /Plant computer operated greenhouse per month + 10% HRA Biochemistry / Agricultural and its maintenance for 3rd year Biotechnology Experience and willingness to work in field Senior 01 (One) Post graduate in any branch of Experience in image processing Research Life Sciences* / PG in and knowledge of SCADA Fellow (SRF) Engineering with specialisation system, controlled environment in Advanced Imaging system * Those who do not have experience in image analysis should not apply Under DBT- BBSRC project entitled “Combining field phenotyping and next generation genetics to uncover markers, genes and biology underlying drought tolerance in wheat”

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Post graduate in Agriculture or Plant Sciences with Specialisation in crop physiology/ plant Physiology / Genetics and Plant Breeding with minimum of 55% marks having valid qualified NET/GATE/LS/BET

Experience in investigations /screening crop genotypes for heat and drought tolerance

JRF@Rs.25,000/per month + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd year

RA, SRFs and JRF will be engaged for a period of Six Months initially and may be continued based on the performance in the project. The maximum age for SRFs & JRF will be 35 years for men and 40 years for women and for RA will be 40 years for men and 45 years for women (relaxation in age as per GOI/ ICAR norms). The age will be computed till the date of Test/Interview.

The place of work is ICAR-NIASM, Malegaon, Baramati, Pune (Dist.). No of post may be increased or decreased at the decision of Competent Authority. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test / interview. The decision of the Director of the Institute will be final and binding in all aspects. The application form complete in all respects along with recent photograph and a set of self-attested copies, proof of date of birth, requisite mark-sheets, educational certificates and other supporting documents need to be brought (along with originals) while attending the Test /Interview.

The following documents can be submitted as proof of date of birth:

Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths

School leaving certificate / Secondary School leaving certificate/ Certificate of Recognized Boards from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution
