Walk-in-Interview CSIR – North East Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, a constituent establishment of CSIR, is a multidisciplinary institute having research areas like Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Materials Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Geological Sciences, etc. This institute is equipped with sophisticated state-of-art analytical and other equipment to carry out research activities in frontier areas of science & technology. Presently a large number of research activities are being carried out in CSIR and externally funded projects. Now, there is a requirement of a few Project Workers with the following specialization:

Project Title: Bio-prospecting of some indigenous medicinal plants of NE region of India with special reference to Anti-inflammatory properties

For NET qualified candidate: Rs. 25000/- per month (+ 8% HRA)

Project Title: Utilization of North East Region (NER), India Clay minerals for ceramic applications.

For others: Rs. 12000/- per month + 8% HRA

01 Post with Essential Qualification: 1 Class MSc in Chemistry (Inorganic / Physical / Materials Sc.). Knowledge on clay based ceramic materials, its beneficiation will be preferred.

01 Post with Essential Qualification: 1 Class BTech / BE in Ceramic Engineering, Technology or in Chemical Engineering. Knowledge in Ceramic material processing and characterization of ceramic materials will be preferred.

Desirable: NET (JRF/LS) / GATE qualified [Max Age: 30 yrs] 4C

Research Associate = 01

Essential Qualification: PhD in Ceramic Technology/ Ceramic Engineering/Materials Science and Engineering/ Chemistry or equivalent. Desirable: Knowledge of Ceramic material processing, clay modification and characterization of ceramic materials with publications in at least 3 SCI Journals

Rs. 36000/- per month + 8% HRA

[Max Age: 35 yrs] During selection, due weight-age will be given to the academic performance of the candidates. Interested candidates having the above qualifications may like to appear in the Walk-in-Interview as per the scheduled date and time. Candidates are requested to bring with them all ORIGINAL TESTIMONIALS including Marksheets and Certificates and also a Photograph to appear for the interview, failing which there candidature may not be considered. The selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon selection. Venue : Conference Room, 1 Floor Administrative Bldg, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam General terms and conditions: The engagement will be on purely temporary basis for specific period. It is co-terminus along with the duration of the project and will not confer any right for regularization in the institute. The Project Workers may be allowed to do his/her PhD work based on CSIR guidelines. The candidates should have knowledge of computer for day to day work.
