ICAR – Indian Agricultural Research Institute Walk-in interview for the following temporary positions in BIRAC, DBT funded project entitled “Enhancing quality of novel bio-insecticidal formulations of entomopathogenic nematodes for improved shelf life and biocontrol” is scheduled to be held on the designated date and time mentioned against the post in the Conference Room of Division of Agricultural Chemicals, LBS building, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa Campus, New Delhi – 110 012.

Essential Qualifications Essential: M.Sc. in Agricultural Chemicals/ Organic Chemistry/ Agricultural Chemistry/ Formulation Chemistry/ Polymer Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry or relevant subjects with 4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA in Bachelor and Master degrees.

The candidates with 3 years bachelor’s Degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Agri.

Desirable: Exposure to chemistry lab.

Essential: M.Sc. in Nematology/ Entomology/ Zoology (with Entomology/Nematology)/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences or M.Tech (Biotechnology) with 4 or 5 years Bachelor’s degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA in Bachelor and Master degrees. The above positions will be on purely temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for a period of 6 months extendable thereafter upon satisfactory performance.

The selected candidate shall not claim any regular appointment at this institute or at ICAR at the end of contract.

The competent authority will have the right to decide the mode of appointment (i.e. adoption of any additional test of competence as required for the respective position) if required. The competent authority also reserves the right to terminate the appointment at any time without assigning any reason/notice.

The maximum age of candidates is 35 years for JRF, and 30 years for Project Assistant. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women & 3 years for OBC, is applicable as per Govt. of India/ICAR Rules.

 


