Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following Project position. Name of position: Project Associate-II / Computational Biologist (01 position) Project title: SARS-CoV-2 in India: Indian SARS-CoV-2 genome consortium (INSACOG) Fellowship: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA@16% Essential Qualification: Candidates having M.Sc. /B.Tech. / M. Tech / M. Pharm. / M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ computational Biology, Microbiology etc.) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% for OBC/ST/SC) and having 02 years of research experience in analyzing NGS datasets. Knowledge of programming in Linux, Python / R is must. Candidates should have qualified national level exam such as NET/GATE/GPAT. Age Limit: The upper age limit of the candidate should be below 32 years as on 12.07.2021. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules. Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
