Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following position. Project: DBT funded project (03 years) on Minor Pulses. The activities involved are Genome sequencing, Genotype by sequence, Transcriptomics and Bioinformatics analysis. Name of position: Research Associate: Fellowship: Rs. 36000/- per month + @20%HRA Eligibility: Ph. D. in any branch of Life Sciences with expertise in the area of Genome analysis, NGS, Transcriptomics and Bioinformatics. The candidates should have publications in reputed peer-reviewed journal in relevant area of expertise. Name of the position: Senior Research Fellow: Fellowship: Rs.28,000/- per month+ @ 20% HRA Eligibility: Candidates must hold a post graduate degree with first class in biological sciences or allied subjects and at least two years of research experience. Candidates with publication and experience in Genome analysis, NGS, Transcriptomics and Bioinformatics will be preferred. Age Limit: The upper age limit of the candidate should be below 32 years as on last date of application. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India guidelines. Name of position: Junior Research Fellow: Fellowship: Rs.25,000/- per month+ @ 20% HRA Eligibility: Candidates should have passed their M.Sc. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm./ M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in life sciences and allied subjects with minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade point). Candidates awaiting final results may also apply, however, if selected, they have to produce their final mark sheet at the date of joining. Candidates should have also qualified in CSIR/UGC-JRF or DBT-JRF or DBT-BINC-JRF or UGC-RGNF or ICMR-JRF or DST-INSPIRE or GATE or GPAT. Age Limit: The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 31st October, 2018. An age relaxation of five years in the case of SC/ST/women/PH candidates and three years in the case of OBC candidates will be given (as per Govt. of India rules). Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
