Mahalakshmi, Associate Professor, Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Bhopal. The broad experimental research topics are: 1. Study of human mitochondrial membrane protein folding and function towards development of protein aggregation inhibitors 2. Study of human mitochondrial protein import and its regulation upon binding with alpha-synuclein and the onset of neurodegeneration 3. Study of the molecular function and architecture of the human mitochondrial membrane protein assembly machinery Vacancies: Up to THREE Qualification: First class M. Sc./ M. Tech./ B. Tech. degree from a recognized university or institute in any of the broad disciplines of biology or physical chemistry or experimental physics. Additionally, candidate must have a valid JRF : CSIR-JRF or DBT-JRF Cat. I or ICMR-JRF Cat. A or DST-INSPIRE-JRF provisional certificate. Junior Research Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. as per JRF norms.
