WALK- IN- INTERVIEW AND/OR WRITTEN TEST The posts are to be filled up on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year under “Centre for Nutrition Research and Training” under Division of RBMCH and Nutrition, ICMR and will be renewed with periodical evaluation and also depending upon the duration of the project.

(1) POST – Scientist-‘C’ (Non-medical; 2 in number (Nutrition)) Age limit: - Not exceeding 40 years Consolidated pay - @Rs.51,000/- p.m. + HRA fixed Qualifications – Candidates should possess 1st Class Master Degree in Food & Nutrition from a recognized University with 4 years experience in field of Food & Nutrition OR 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Food & Nutrition from a recognized university with 4 years experience in field of Food & Nutrition.

Job Requirement: To co-ordinate the activities of the centre and Division of Nutrition like training programmes for capacity building, issues related to food safety, Nutrition etc. The incumbent may have to go to field for monitoring the field activities to any part of the country. Any work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/Organization from time to time.

(2) POST – Scientist-‘C’ (Non-medical; 2 in number (Life Science)) Age limit: - Not exceeding 40 years Consolidated pay - @Rs.51,000/- p.m. + HRA fixed Qualifications – Candidates should possess 1st Class Master Degree in Life Science (Biochemistry, Chemistry and Biotechnology) from a recognized University with 4 years experience in relevant field OR 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Life Science (Biochemistry, Chemistry and Biotechnology) from a recognized university with 4 years experience in relevant field.

Job Requirement: To co-ordinate the activities of the centre like training programmes for capacity building, activities of the NABL accredited laboratory at the Centre; facilitating the laboratory network of DHR in getting NABL accreditation etc. The incumbent may have to go to field for monitoring the field activities to any part of the country. Any work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/Organization from time to time.

(3) POST – Scientist-‘B’ (Non-medical; 2 in number (Nutrition)) Age limit: - Not exceeding 35 years Consolidated pay - @Rs.48,000/- p.m. + HRA fixed Qualifications – Candidates should possess 1st Class Master Degree in Food & Nutrition from a recognized University with 2 years experience in field of Food & Nutrition OR 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Food & Nutrition from a recognized university.

(4) POST – Scientist-‘B’ (Non-medical; 2 in number (Life Science)) Age limit - Not exceeding 35 years Consolidated pay - @Rs.48,000/- p.m. + HRA fixed Qualifications – Candidates should possess 1st Class Master Degree in Life Science (Biochemistry, Chemistry and Biotechnology) from a recognized University with 2 years experience in relevant field OR 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Life Science (Biochemistry, Chemistry and Biotechnology) from a recognized university.

(5) POST - Computer Programmer (Grade-B) – Two (OBC) Age Limit - Below 30 years Consolidated Pay- @ Rs. 32,500/- p.m. fixed Qualification - Master’s degree in Computer Application/Information Technology/ Computer Science from a recognized Institution/University/Institute OR B.E./B. Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology/Information Technology from a recognized Institution/ University with two years experience in relevant areas of programming or information system in Government, autonomous, PSU, etc. recognized organizations.

Job Requirement- To coordinate the online training programmes for capacity building; entry of the data collected under various Task Force studies, statistical analysis and tabulation and assist the Quality manger of the laboratory in handling all laboratory related data; preparing test reports; ensuring its confidentiality and regular back-up of data. Any work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/Organization from time to time.

(6) POST - Project Officer – Two (Unreserved) Age Limit - Below 30 years Consolidated Pay- @ Rs. 32,000/- p.m. fixed Qualification – Graduate in Science/relevant subjects from a recognized university with five years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in the relevant subject.

Job Requirement- To assist the administration in all day-to-day office related work, preparation of grant letters/bills, typing of scientific reports and proceedings of the various studies under the centre and Division etc. Any work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/Organization from time to time.

(7) POST - Research Assistant – Four (One: SC; One: ST; One: OBC; One: Unreserved) Age Limit - Below 30 years Consolidated Pay- @ Rs. 31,000/- p.m. fixed Qualification – Graduate in Science [except Physics and Mathematics (Hons)] from a recognized University with three years work experience (research/teaching) from a recognized Institution or Master’s degree in the relevant subject.

Job Requirement- Analysis of blood serum samples, maintenance of work record and assist in coordination of research activities or any other work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/organization from time to time.

(8) POST - Project Technician III – Two (One: OBC; One: Unreserved) Age Limit - Below 30 years Consolidated Pay- @ Rs. 18,000/- p.m. fixed Qualification – 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/ laboratory experience in Government recognized organization (B.Sc degree shall be treated as 3 years experience).

Job Requirement- Laboratory work like storage of samples, sampling, sample analysis of biological samples etc. Any work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/Organization from time to time.

(9) POST - Data Entry Operator (Grade A) – Four (One: SC; One: ST; Two: Unreserved) Age Limit - Below 25 years Consolidated Pay- @ Rs. 17,000/- p.m. fixed Qualification – Intermediate or 12th pass from recognized board. A speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer Job Requirement- To maintain record of training programmes organized by the centre; entering data collected under various task force studies etc.

Any work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/Organization from time to time.

POST - Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) –Four (One: OBC; Three- Unreserved) Age Limit - Below 25 years Consolidated Pay- @ Rs. 15,800/- p.m. fixed

Qualification – High School or equivalent Job Requirement- To assist in the lab work as well as for routine office work. Any work assigned by the Head (Nutrition)/Organization from time to time.

Terms & Conditions for the post are as follows: 1. Since the post is purely temporary and co-terminus with project the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.

2. Benefits of provident fund, HRA,CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. are not applicable.

3. No TA/DA etc. will be given to attend the Interview.

4. Qualification and experience should be from a recognized organization.

5. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

6. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/ Organizations are not eligible to apply.

7. Consolidated salary of each post may be revised as per ICMR instructions/circular from time to time.

8. Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC, ST & OBC candidates will be given against reserve posts only and as per Govt. rules in force. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will be admissible for experienced and skilled persons.

Leave as per rules of ICMR for project guidelines Candidates possessing the above qualifications may come for Walk-in-Personal Discussion/Interview at ICMR Campus-II, Tuberculosis Association of India Building, Ist Floor, 3 Red Cross Road, Near Parliament House, New Delhi-110 001 (Map enclosed). If the number of eligible candidates are more than 30, a Walk in Personal Discussion/ and Written Test will be conducted. Therefore, candidates should come prepared for written test also which will be multiple choice questions. The level for the test will be as per the qualification required for each post.
