1. Minimum qualification and experience :   

  

M.Sc in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Genetics or any other associated subjects with consistent good academic result Experience of minimum 2 years in Research / Project work in the above areas.

Must be dynamic and competent of handling most modern , sophisticated and advanced instruments used in modern biological / biotechnological research. He / She must be capable of conducting practical classes of Biotechnology for high school students.

Should be well conversant in computer operation.

Should be willing to travel extensively to interior areas of different districts of West Bengal A list of duties and responsibilities is given hereunder. However, this list is only to give an idea about the nature of the job and not exclusive in nature.

2. Desirable : Any higher qualification / experience in related areas of study / work.

3. Age : Maximum 35 (Thirty Five) years on the day of this advertisement 4. Scale of pay : Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.20,000.00 (Twenty thousand) only.

No other allowances and / or benefits shall be admissible. Candidates should bring the original copies of all testimonials in support of age, educational qualification and work experience and one recent passport size photograph alongwith a set of self attested photocopies of above documents. Candidates should report between 11.00 am to 01.30 pm at the given address and the interview may take 2 – 3 hours time.

Candidates reporting after 01.30 pm shall not be allowed to appear in the interview.

LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

   



To maintain and operate modern Biotechnology laboratory instruments.

To maintain stock of the chemicals, reagents, glassware and other consumable items and place requisition for purchase of the same whenever necessary.

To coordinate, assist and conduct the workshops, experimental sessions, projects etc.

To keep records of the maintenance of the instruments and coordinate with vendors / suppliers for regular servicing, annual maintenace contracts, repairing etc. of the instruments.

Other duties which may be assigned as per institutional requirement.
