No. YVJ/WII/GIB/RECRUIT-PROJ-PERSONNEL/2020 CONTRACTUAL ENGAGEMENT OF PROJECT PERSONNEL The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and Government of India, in the field of wildlife research, teaching and training. The Institute wishes to engage two (02) Project AssistantGrade II (Indian National only) under the Project titled “Habitat improvement and conservation breeding of Great Indian Bustard: An Integrated Approach” on a contractual basis initially for a period of one year. However, the same may be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and the programme needs. The work description, essential and desirable qualifications, age (as on date of advertisement) and monthly emoluments for the required position are given in Annexure – 1. Mode of Selection The candidate should report at Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Chandrabani, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with original application and documents for scrutiny of documents at 09:30 hours on Monday, 30th March 2020, followed by a Written Examination on the same day at 10:30 to 12:00 hours. (i) The written examination will be for one hour and comprise of multiple-choice objective questions (25 marks) and a one-page essay on relevant conservation issue (25 marks). For Project Assistant (Gr-II, S. No. 1), multiple-choice questions test will be based on Ecology, Grassland Ecosystems, Bustard Biology and Animal Husbandry, while for Project Assistant (Gr-II, S. No. 2) multiple-choice questions test will be based on Basics of Computer Science, Data Management, Statistics, Remote Sensing and GIS. The essay will be common for both the positions. Candidates should clearly opt for the choice of the position for which they would be giving the test while filling the application form. (ii) Result of the written exam will be announced by the evening of 30 th March, 2020 at the Institute’s website and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on 31st March 2020 from 10:00 hours onwards. The candidates are suggested to make stay arrangements accordingly. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the written test or the interview.
