Contractual Engagement of Project Personnel
The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun invites applications to recruit research personnel for the different projects purely on contractual basis. The work description, essential and desirable qualifications, age and the consolidated monthly emoluments including all allowances for the required position is given below:

Aptitude for field work. Experience of working on in aquatic ecosystem. Experience of working in MS Office, good oral and written communication skills.

E. Project Cheetah “Bringing the Cheetah Back to India
1 Research Assistants (05 positions)
Bachelor degree in Sciences (B.Sc.) Wildlife Science/ Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Zoology/ Life Science/ Marine Science or related subjects.
Candidate(s) with prior experience in vegetation sampling, plant identification, camera trapping, ecological sampling techniques and animal abundance estimation will be preferred. Able to do field work in harsh condition.

Mode of Selection and other conditions:
1. The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work experience, acceptance or rejection of application will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.
2. The candidates are required to submit their completed application forms in PDF format, with accompanying attachments, by email (with subject line: “Application for the post of ___(Post Name)___ in Project ‘_____(Project Name)____’ to registrarpr@wii.gov.in with cc to campavp.test@gmail.com not later than 1700 hrs on 03 May 2023. A hard copy of the application along with attachments (with subject line: “Application for the post of __(post name)__ in the Project ‘_____(Project Name)____’ should also be sent by post to The Registrar, Wildlife Institute of India, Chandrabani, Dehradun 248001, Uttarakhand.
3. Application forms needs to be typed according to the prescribed format and must be accompanied by: (a) Scanned copies of educational qualifications, and (b) Scanned copies of experience letter/ certificate, failing which applications will not be considered

5. The applications received after the deadline will be rejected by the Institute.
6. The shortlisted candidates will be notified (through email and website notification) f 11 May 2023. The online interview will be held starting from 15th May, 2023 – 19th May, 2023, the details of which will be shared subsequently.
7. At the time of verification of original documents, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to wilfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, his/her candidature will not be considered.
8. The positions advertised are purely temporary/ contractual for the project period only and will stand abolished after completion of the project.
9. The tenure in the project will be governed by the Institute’s rules and regulations
10. After announcement of the results, the candidate should join the project immediately.
11. The Director, WII reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason thereof.
