M S Swaminathan Research Foundation is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow The M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was established in 1988 as a notfor-profit trust. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M. S. Swaminathan.

The Foundation aims to accelerate use of modern science for agricultural and rural development for development and dissemination of technology to improve lives and livelihoods of tribal and rural communities. MSSRF follows a pro-poor, pro-women and pro-nature approach and applies appropriate science and technology options to address practical problems faced by rural populations in agriculture, food and nutrition.

Age Limit

18-28 years. The upper age limit is relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman/Women up to 5 years as per the Govt. of India instructions

Remuneration

:

Rs31,000+ 8% HRA for I and II year, then and Rs 35000/- + 8% HRA for III year 1. Those candidates, who are already employed in any organization, should bring “No Objection Certificate” from the present employer 2. The candidates have to produce all the original certificates at the time of interview for verification 3. Upon selection candidates are expected to join duty immediately

Experience of field work, working experiences in NGOs sector, Research Intuition in the field of applied science, development of livelihood activities in tribal area/, Good knowledge of computers and MS Office. Candidate should speak, Read and write Odia, English and Knowledge on project report writing The candidate is expected to monitor the progress of the project, writing project reports, and assist the principal investigator to achieve following  Knowledge on laboratory work in microbiology will give preference like Trichoderma, BGA, Rhizobium, PSB etc.  Organizing meetings, trainings, workshops and capacity building programmes for various stakeholders  Development of supply chain mechanism for farmers' produce through linkage with Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs)  Preparation of business plan and evolve market strategies to promote Bioinput production and certified and foundation seeds of identified paddy and finger millet varieties Niger etc.  Database preparation, documentation of the project activities, report writing, writing case studies and research articles
