Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 Advertisement No. 603/2020 Director CNCI, Kolkata, invites interested applicants for attending a walk-in-interview to be held on 03.04.2020 at 11:30 AM in the CNCI Auditorium (5th floor of Research Wing) for recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB-CRG sponsored project entitled “Targeting the role of serum acute phase proteins to induce peripheral T cell tolerance in breast, ovary and colon carcinoma.” under Dr. Subhasis Barik, Principal Investigator in the Department of In Vitro Carcinogenesis and Cellular Chemotherapy, CNCI. 1. Post: Junior Research Fellow (01) Highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with the following qualifications may apply. Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences with NET (CSIR/UGC) / GATE. Minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST and PWD candidates. Desirable qualification: Specialization in biochemistry/molecular biology. Duration: Initially for 1 year, extendable up to another 2 years, subject to annual review of the work done. Fellowship: Basic pay: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA @ 24% on the basic pay; Total Rs. 38440/per month. . Age limits: Maximum 28 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement (relaxable for suitable SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women candidates, as per Govt. Rules). Candidates should bring the original certificates and testimonials in support of date of birth, educational qualification, experiences, publications, etc. and failing to produce any of the above-mentioned documents in original would disqualify the candidate to appear in the interview. Appointment of the candidate as Junior Research Fellow in the ad-hoc research project will not bestow any right for regularization to any temporary or permanent post in the institute or elsewhere.
