Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 Advertisement No. 600/2020 Director CNCI, Kolkata, invites interested applicants for attending a walk-in-interview to be held on 19.02.2020 at 11 AM in the CNCI Auditorium (5th floor of Research Wing) for recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DST-SERB-SRG sponsored project entitled “Development of therapeutic peptides for blocking interactions between Hepatitis B and host cellular proteins related with regulatory signaling pathways in hepatocellular carcinoma: A proteomic approach deciphering host-pathogen protein interactive network.” under Dr. Avik Biswas, Principal Investigator in the Department of Signal Transduction and Biogenic Amines, CNCI. 1. Post: Junior Research Fellow (01) Highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with the following qualifications may apply.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Biological Sciences/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology /Biochemistry with NET (CSIR/UGC) / GATE. Minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates and 50% marks for SC and PWD candidates.

Desirable qualification: Specialization in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology.

Duration: Initially for 1 year, extendable up to 1 year, subject to annual review of the work done.

Fellowship: Basic pay: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA @ 24% on the basic pay; Total Rs. 38440/- per month for first year.

Basic pay: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA @ 24% on the basic pay-; Total Rs. 38440/- per month for second year.

Age limits: Maximum 28 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement (relaxable for suitable SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women candidates, as per Govt. Rules).
