The minimum age will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

Rs. 15,000/consolidated per month.

The upper age limit is 35 years on the date of interview.

Rs. 12,000/consolidated per month.

Young professional – I will be engaged for a period of 12 months, extendable to a maximum of another term based on needs of the organization and performance of the candidate.

However, maximum duration will not be extended beyond two years. The post can be terminated at any time depending upon the availability of funds under the project.

Nature of duties

Essential Desirable Graduates in Agricultural/ a) Experience in working Horticultural Sciences or Graduate with different modern in Science or Diploma holder in instruments for soil engineering/Technology. and plant analysis. b) Experience in organic crop management.

Intermediate with Biology

Implementation of experiments and management of organic farming system model; detailed analysis of soil, compost and plant parts; observations on plant protection parameters; surveying and data collection from certified organic farmers’ field.

Research in Mushroom; May have to travel all over Uttarakhand, H.P. and J&K.

Rs. 49,000/per month + HRA (for Master Degree holders) & Rs. 54,000/per month+HRA (for Ph.D.)

Purely temporary, time bound and coterminous with the Project/ Scheme (31.03.2020)

Young 01 Professional- II

The minimum age will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

Rs. 25,000/consolidated per month.

Initially for one year, may be extended for another year as per requirement

The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview.

Rs. 31,000/(+ HRA as per local approval) for 1st and 2nd year and 35,000/- (+ HRA as per local approval) for 3rd year

Utilization and Senior Refinement of Research Haploid/Doubled Fellow Haploid Induction Systems in Rice, Wheat and Maize Using Molecular and In-vitro strategies

Ph.D. in Business Management/ Life Sciences/ Agril. Economics/ Information Technology OR Master’s degree in Business Management/ Life Sciences/ Agril.

Economics/ Information Technology with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall Grade Point Average.

2. At least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associate ship/ Training/ other engagement as circulated vide F. No. 2-9/2012HRD dated 25.04.2014 and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (≥4.0), journal as per OM SR/S9/Z09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019 Post graduate in Biotechnology/ Botany/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Life Science with a minimum of one year experience (excluding dissertation period) in Plant tissue culture/transgenic development OR Ph.D. in any of the above subjects in the area of plant tissue culture/ transgenic development/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology.

Master’s degree in Plant Breeding / Plant Pathology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry /Life Sciences (for candidates with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree) OR Master’s degree in Plant Breeding / Plant Pathology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Science with NET qualification (for candidates with 3 years Bachelor’s degree)

Work experience in patent drafting, filing, analysis and prosecution & License agreement drafting

Knowledge and work experience of plant breeding/ molecular breeding/biochemical analysis in agricultural crops, preferably maize.

Field work (hybridization, sample collection and preparation, data recording), Lab work (molecular markers and biochemical analysis related work) and documentation both at the institute and out-stations

2. There will be a written test for the candidates before appearing the interview for the position of Young Professional- I (Serial no. 1).

3. No-objection certificate from the employer/University in case he/she is in employment elsewhere/ studying.

4. The candidates are necessarily required to produce all original certificates which will be returned to them.

5. The above position is on contractual basis, purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project 6. The place of work will be at ICAR-VPKAS, Almora/Hawalbagh or the project site.

7. The selected candidate shall not claim any regular employment at this Institute, as the position is co-terminus with the project.

8. No T.A./D.A. will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

9. The number of positions may increase and decrease as per requirements.

10. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
