WALK- IN INTERVIEW Candidates are i n v i t e d for appearing in W a l k -in Interview for t h e f o l l o w i n g temporary posts for the Project entitled “Translocation and Rehabilitation of True Corals from the Demarcated Route, Proposed for Laying Oil Pipeline by IOCL at Narara, Gujarat” initially for one year extendable upto five years, depending on performance of the candidate and availability of funding. The posting will be at Jamnagar/Vadinar, Gujarat; and at Chennai, based on requirements.

The project will primarily undertake scientific studies include studies on Coral reefs, translocation, rehabilitation and monitoring of corals at Gulf of Kachchh. The candidates having experience in Swimming/SCUBA Diving will be preferred. No T.A/D.A will be paid for attending the interview. The incumbent will not have any claim for regular appointment in ZSI/GOI. The candidates to be recruited will have to join immediately at Chennai/Jamnagar/Vadinar, on a short notice.

POST Research Associate - I

EDUCATIONAL /ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION S Ph.D. in Zoology/ Marine Biology/ Marine Biology and Oceanography / Wildlife Biology/ Life Science or Equivalent degree from a UGC recognized University.

Or M.Sc./ M. Phil. in Zoology/ Marine Biology/ Marine Biology and Oceanography / Wildlife Biology/ Life Science or Equivalent degree with minimum 60% aggregate mark from a recognized University and with minimum 3 years of working experience as SPF/SRF in any research projects preferably on coral restoration.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS At least two research papers in Science citation indexed (SCI) Journal.

Research experience in marine environment & working experience at remote Islands.

Experience in coral reef research, preferably in reef restoration activities at least for three years Advanced Open-water SCUBA certification (PADI) with at least 100 logged dives.

Working knowledge of Computer/report writing/manuscript preparation.

REMUNERATION

Rs. 47,000 per month + eligible HRA

Minimum 2 years of working experience as Rs.23,000/- per Junior Project/Research month + eligible Fellow in any research HRA projects, preferably coral related projects.

Research experience in marine environment and working experience at remote Islands.

Experience in swimming. Working knowledge of Computer.

Experience in report writing / manuscripts preparation.

Open-water/Advanced Open-water SCUBA Diving license.

: Walk-in Interviews will be held at 10.30 hrs on 11.07.2021 at Marine National Park Office, Forest Colony, Jamnagar, Gujarat.
