Junior Research Fellow

Master degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences / Biological Sciencesor Equivalent with Zoology as a major subject in under graduate course from a recognized University with Minimum 55% marks.

Research experience in Rs.12,000/-+ taxonomy, HRA systematics, zoology (admissible or allied subject, field survey experience in wildlife, wildlife photography, knowledge of Computer and basic field data collection.

Remarks JRF is expected to work on sorting, labelling & identification of collection presentin GPRC, ZSI, Patna . However, he/ she will been courage for pursuing Ph.D. only after completing at least one year of the tenure in the centre on clearing the back log collections as per the target to be assigned to him/ her.

JRF is expected to undertake extensive field surveys in the forests and wetland areas of Gangetic Plains or any other place as decided by the competent authority and therefore, required to be physically fit to undertake research in terrain and hostile conditions. Interested and eligible candidates are requested to appear before the selection committee on14.06.2021 at 11:00 AM for the above mentioned post at the Zoological Survey of India, Gangetic Plains Regional Centre, Bahadurpur Housing Colony, Patna, Bihar, India. General Instructions: 1. Age Limit: Age shall not be more than 28 years as on 14th June, 2021. Upper age limit is relaxed upto 5years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy Layer(NCL)/ Women/ Physically Challenged applicants as per Govt. rules. 2. Candidates appearing for the walk-in-interview are required to register up to 9.00 AM on the day of interview at Zoological Survey of India, Gangetic Plains Regional Centre, Patna Bihar, India, email ID : gprczsipatna@gmail.com 3. The verification of original documents will be made at the time of walk-in-Interview and (even after selection), if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, such applicant will not be considered for selection and due action will be implemented.
