NOTICE Walk in interview for appointing THREE Guest Faculties to teach B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc. (Hons.) classes under CBCS during the Odd Semesters of the academic year 2019-2020, for a period of 3½ months (August, 2019 to November, 2019), will be held on Tuesday, 13.08.2019 at 11.00 AM in the Office of the Chairman, Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh as per the following tentative teaching schedule:

All the applicants are advised to bring their original certificates and other relevant documents for verification along with the duly filled form giving the details at the time of interview. The application form for the post of Assistant Professor is available at website (http://jobs.puchd.ac.in.forms.php pages 1 to 9) and the same is to be submitted in the office of the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh by 10.00 am on the date of the interview. The above assignment will be on lecture basis with a token honorarium of Rs.1000/- per lecture with an upper limit of Rs.25000/- per month. The candidate shall have to give an undertaking that he/she will not draw any fellowship/stipend or any financial assistance from any agency till they are teaching in the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh as a Guest Faculty. The candidates who are already availing JRF scholarships in the University are not entitled for the honorarium but they will be issued experience certificate for the Guest Faculty. Essential Qualification: i) Master‘s degree in Microbiology with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. A relaxation of 5% shall be provided for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled/Other Backward Classes (OBC)(Non-creamy Layer)/ Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master‘s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.
