Title of the project “Bio-control of fungal disease of large cardamom (Amomum subulatum) using antagonistic microorganism(s)/ botanicals/ indigenous traditional knowledge based formulation”, funded by G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development, Almora, MoEF, Govt. of India [GBPNI/NMHS-2017-18/HSF -07]. Positions

Desirable

Experience of working in Large cardamom/ plant pathology/ molecular biology, etc. Experience in Master Degree organic farming, in Horticulture/ strong interest and Agriculture / Life background in field Science surveying. ASRB-NET/ CSIRNET/ GATE qualified candidate will be preferred.

Nature of work • Survey and documentation of disease incidence and distribution pattern, isolation and establishment of fungi associated with blight diseases in large cardamom • Identification, Evaluation of botanicals and ITK based formulations against fungal blight disease for their efficacy

Duration: Initially for six months but extendable up to the termination of project whichever is earlier, subject to performance review.
