6. Job Description
: To carry out fermentation with food-grade micro-organisms such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Lactobacillus sp. (L. paracasei, L. rhamnosus, L. acidophilus, L. plantarum) or using novel micro-organisms isolated from sea food samples for the production of bioactive compounds with food based applications.
7. Consolidated monthly
compensation / Fellowship
: Rs. 30,000/- (25000 + 20 % HRA for 1st & 2nd year) and Rs. 33,600/- (28000 + 20 % HRA for 3rd year). Based on the performance of the research work the fellowship will be converted into Institute fellowship as per Institute rule after project fellowship.

: M.Tech in Biotechnology with 1st class. Candidate must have qualified the GATE examination. : Prior experience in working with bioreactor and HPLC is desirable, however, not mandatory. : Bachelor accommodation in the Institute may be provided subject to availability or HRA will be provided.
