Consolidated Remuneration:TheconsolidatedfeeshallbefixedbetweenRs.90,000/-toRs.2,70,000/permonthdependingontheexperienceandqualifications.
Summary & Responsibilities: TheManagerwillserveintheProgramManagementUnitchartered undertheDBT,BIRACandtheBill&MelindaGatesFoundationpartnershipinGrandChallengesIndia. TheManagerwillberesponsibleforprovidingcomprehensiveprogram,strategy,andpolicy managementsupporttoseniorleaderswithintheorganization.TheManagerwillworkcloselywith seniorleaderstoensuretheeffectiveimplementationandexecutionofvariousprogramsand initiatives.
AttachedtotheofficeofSeniorManagement(ChairpersonandManagingDirector,BIRAC)and reportingtoMissionDirector-GCI,theManagerwillhavetheopportunitytointeractandworkwith thoughtleadersandleadingscientistsbothinIndiaandinternationally;contributestrategicthinking andforward-lookinganalysisinrelevantareas;communicateprogressandsetbacksagainststrategic goals;andimportantlycreateandmanageprograms.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Provide program management support to seniorleaderswithintheorganization.
Conduct policy analysis to assess the impact, feasibility, and effectiveness of proposed policies.
Developandmaintainprojectdocumentation, including project plans, status reports, and projecttrackingtools.
Conductregularmeetingswithseniorleaders to provide project updates, review progress, andaddressanyissuesorconcerns.
Collaboratewithotherstakeholderstoensure program objectives are aligned with organizationalgoalsandpriorities.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughouttheprogramlifecycle.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including program participants, partners,andvendors.
Assistinthecommunicationanddissemination ofpoliciestorelevantstakeholdersandensure compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential: PhD in Life Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry,withbroadand deep knowledge related to strategy developmentandpolicymaking,andmanaging complexprogramswithmultiplestakeholders. Experience - 6 years (Minimum 2 Years’ experienceinstrategicanalysisorapplication of new strategies for business expansion or business development and alliance integration),includingPhD.
Desirable Qualification and Experience:
Experienceinpreparinglandscapereportsand strategic planning, policy development, and programmanagement.
Experience in the research and analysis to identify emerging trends, best practices, and policyimplicationsrelevanttotheorganization.
Experience in the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives, including action plans, timelines, and performanceindicators.
Strong analytical, writing, editing, and verbal skillsforcommunicatingwithdiverserangeof partners.
In addition to technical and operational expertise,theManagermustalsobringpassion, humility, and critical thinking for the unique problems and the questions relevant to GCI’s mission.
Represent DBT, BIRAC, and the Grand ChallengesIndia,withtheteam,totheexternal worldasdeputedbySeniorLeadership;
Undertakespecialprojects,asrequested.
